The clash is only in its infancy, but I have to say it has been far more interesting battles for me.
Firstly: Aeditide. It seems to be hot property at the moment and the home of two big Alliance clashes. It seems TSOLE are copping it from all angles right now, but it definitely kept the game interesting. And it's not like we are innocent of picking a fight. That's what ROFL is all about.
Secondly: SI tactics. Most of our opponents are about Caldari Logi/Assault fits and Core Locus spamming. It's an effective way to play until CCP nerfs it, but variety of combat is lacking. However, SI seem to vary their fits greatly. So much so that the mixed bag we have faced has brought much discussion about counter tactics.
I frankly love taking this on. It has felt like a more varied experience. I hold no issue for any Corps that Caldari fit, but I have way more fun taking on an enemy who constantly shifts their fits and tactics. It's not always a guaranteed success, but throwing an opponent a curveball is way more satisfying than crushing with rehashed tactics.
I look forward to many more battles against SI as I have learnt a few more things, and have had the opportunity to use a diverse range of fits myself to counter what you bring to the table.
Lastly, yet on a more sour note,........the lag. We thought it was bad against Hellstorm, but this could even be a little worse. Our boys faced slideshow framerate in our last encounter. I know that I couldn't really climb ladders too often as it took me nearly 10 seconds to make it happen. CCP have made what could be phenomenally epic battles into a test of patience. We complained less thanks to the varied combat, and the fact we are just expecting it against an overseas opponent these days. But it truly is not fair that we are hindered in our efforts when our battles could be epic.
Anyhow, see you on the battlefield SI, here's hoping we get at least ONE battle with tolerable lag. |

Sha Kharn Clone wrote:Hey thx S legion. Its a bit busy for us atm but next week will send an attack and send the guys in last min so you can have the server for sure at least once. Don't want your districts btw just fighting someone else is a nice change for us.
Till then keep up the good fight and hats off to ya.
Y'know, that's about the most selfless post I've seen on these forums! You're +1 in my books, Kharn.
But we don't expect special treatment. Whoever gets the server, gets the server. It's just good to take on a Corp that keeps us talking about the match long after.
And lolz to the Hellstorm boys. Nice one, Broadway. Well, speaking of crazy enough to use Scouts, Marauder, how did you like our "restricted to Militia Scouts" rule we made for ourselves on the last match. We figured just embrace the lag and run like madmen. That's the first slideshow lag game we have come out laughing our asses off at the end. Tell Kujo his messages gave us all a laugh before we spawned in on that one. ![Lol](https://forums.dust514.com/Images/Emoticons/ccp_lol.png) |

Would love to get some support towards our plight for connection fixes, guys.

I know EU has faced serious issues when playing the US also. But AU/NZ is a minority compared to other regions so we get overlooked easily.
Thanks for some great support SI. You guys win best and fairest I reckon. |
