1/10 would be a sizable over-estimation. Let's assume the playerbase is around 20,000 total (seems reasonable with daily peaks of 5,500 and makes a nice round number); there are around 25 corps currently in PC (again estimate for nice numbers); assume on average each corp has 2 PC teams with some extra players for standby/ringers, so 40 per corp, that's 1,000 players probably currently playing in PC. So more like 1/20 or 5% of the playerbase.
edit - I think I've been pretty generous with my numbers there, so I'd say that 5% is probably the absolute upper limit of that estimation. |

That's just a troll - less than 150 players equates to just 9 corps and there are much more than that in PC. |

I qualified my calculations as being generous. I doubt there are as many as 1,000 playing PC and definitely should state that I reckon these are total rather than regularly every day playing PC. I was really just trying to point out that the OP suggestion of 1/10 is way too high. I wouldn't be surprised if 1,000 players total play in PC but at least half of them would be only every once in a while, like once a week maybe. |

You don't have to reasons why you are wrong, just admit it. <200 at most. Okay, so just checked the war report from the Info Broker and there are actually many more corps than I estimated were in PC, 47 in fact. Each corp will at least have a full team of 16 players, so 47 * 16 = 752. At the very minimum 752 people are currently playing PC regularly. Many more will be being used as ringers from other non PC corps and the bigger corps with more districts will have B teams and maybe more. There will also be people who occasionally play, like once a week, so I'd say 1,000 is actually a pretty conservative estimate. |

That's why I calculated it by number of corps rather than number of districts. There aren't many corps that aren't fighting at least once a day. I even removed 2 corps from the equation because Neg Feed have stopped playing.
Also, it doesn't matter if they're not playing every day - I'm talking total numbers, not daily figures. |

Your not counting the no shows. and their are a lot of those. so numbers might be less? I'm not good at math. You guys take care of that part! I've played PC, long enough to realize it's less fun than CB. Yes, there are some no shows but every corp with land will have a PC team that plays at least some matches, even if they do skip some. This is easily out-weighed by the corps that field multiple teams. |
