EVE players have pretty good memories, so it's safe to say that this game has been "in development" since nearly 2006. That's right around the time Hilmar started drinking his own liquid hype and started 'dreaming big of projects he can't complete'. Then he started dreaming big and began to believe he can complete at least one of those things. To date, no EVE player has ever seen outside of their station prisons.
7 years and counting, and this is what we get? I overestimate CCP yet again! Actually CCP had to pretty much recreate the game on a new engine because it was too powerful for the ps3. That happened in 2011 I believe. |

It's only the 2nd year.
Developing as intended.
It's been in development since 2009 at least. fact. It was originally being developed on the Carbon engine, of which they found out the ps3 couldn't handle it and had to recode all that work, and then continue to develop on a 10 year old engine of which they have never used before. fact. Wow. So they are that bad at planning? They picked an engine incompatible with their target release console? Where do I send my money? You are a true dumbass. The only way to see if something will work properly is to test it out. They tested and failed. I don't see a problem with this. |

So, they knew the other engine would work until it didn't, and then switched to an old engine that they didn't know wouldn't work to test a brand new and really old game for something that wouldn't run it? You're right, I do feel dumb. No they tested an engine that they thought would work but in the end didn't so they switched to an engine that was already known to run smoothly on consoles so yes you are a dumbass. |

So they just pushed it out of beta early twice? So far so good. Nope only once. |
