You will find these statements in every FPS game. SOCOM, MAG, KZ, BF, Tribes. UNREAL, ext. For every clan that leaves. new ones pop up. It's when they don't, and it's just randoms every where. that you have to worry. clans bring in longer didicated players. I might be a solo merc here. But I've been in clans everywhere else.

The only reason I invest time into Dust is I like the direction CCP plans on taking the game. On the other hand, SOE's only plan is to (poorly) copy whatever DICE continues to add to the Battlefield series. It's really sad considering what SmokeJumper and the rest of the Dynamix team did with the original Planetside despite all the limitations they faced. (lol, everquest engine)

Map design, metagame and refinement of gameplay seem to have taken a back seat. PS2 has a nice engine, there's the makings of an amazing game there. It's predecessor was wonderful in many respects but also incredibly flawed. Bizarrely SOE have shown almost no signs of taking any lessons from PS1, they've not captured much of what made it so good or learned from some of it's mistakes. PS2 is close to being amazing, you can almost see the threshold of greatness from where it's standing. Problem is Smedley and company have a rope tied 'round it's waist, are doing their utmost to stop it striding towards everything it can and should be, tugging it in the wrong direction. Would be a shame if it languishes in mediocrity when brilliance is really not so far away. As for other relative newcomers, Tribes 2 is the FPS I've most enjoyed and appreciated. It's a pity about Ascend. Something utilising decidedly non-standard mechanics for an FPS taking off in a big way might've opened up the gate for more experimentation within the genre. I'll just leave this here.

I practically danced when I got the email about the Tech Test. It's been a real disappointment watching something I was so excited for go so far downhill. Many people were saying the same things about CCP and EVE Online back in 2011, thinking they were going to do to EVE what SOE did to Star Wars Galaxies. When all the misunderstandings were cleared up, and the dust settled, we ended up with a new plan from CCP on how to move forward that has led to EVE now holding the title of the only MMO that has grown in player count every year since it was released. Do Dust and Planetside 2 share some of the same issues? Yes. However, mistakes having been made or not, CCP wants to improve, and that is the fundamental difference between them and Sony Online Entertainment. Where I have now lost all faith in SOE, I still have faith in CCP.

And yes, I have been playing Dust, and I've preferred it to Planetside 2 pretty much since it launched.

Also most of his complaints stem from being on the PC. We will have the playstation nation playing, not a bunch of outdated pc players, with lag and hacks do deal with.

You don't get money, you don't get territory, and the pitiful amounts of XP you get will just have you grinding for weeks if you want to actually earn enough Cert Points for a weapon that doesn't suck.

Where u been? PSN has 0 hacks ingame. So the guy in the video played how many hrs? 1000? Most of what you say, You could say the same for dust at this point. I like dust but cmon man Planetside is 10x the game dust is. Seriously even if you dont like it many many will, so you might as well quit hating on a "game of the year" caliber game.
