When fitting my drop suit, if i put a sidearm in a light weapon slot and I want to buff it with a damage mod, would I use a light damage mod, or a sidearm damage mod? does the modifier affect the actual weapon or the slot I put it in? another example would be a heavy fitting a light weapon in the heavy slot...would he use the heavy damage mod or the light damage mod to buff the light weapon? |

What you should use is the search function.
Having said that. let me ask you a simple question? What kind of weapon are you using? Is it a LIGHT weapon, or a SIDEARM?
I think you can see which damage mod to use.
tl;dr - match the mod to the weapon |

yea I tried a couple different entries in the search, but i got no results. so to be clear, if I wanted to buff my sidearm, i'd fit a sidearm damage mod, no matter what slot i put it in? |

Sidearm Damage mods affect sidearm class weapons, regardless of where they happen to be fitted. Don't feel bad. This question actually pops up quite often. Usually found in corp forums- why you cant search it. |
