Depends entirely on whom you speak with, and what they prefer to in game and how they go about doing it.
Here is a few things i can think of off hand-
- Taking the stat bonuses off of the skills and applying them to Dropsuits specifically designed to take advantage of them, or at a minimum provide an alternate way of play/priority from other suits in its class. Like CCP does for hull's in EVE.
- More Fitting options form a larger variety of modules offering new and specific advantages. (Counter E-War, Specific and General damage Resistance, Specific Weapon Recoil/Dispersion reduction, Specific Weapon Range Increase... ETC)
- More On use and Deployed equipment- Webs, Jammers, Adrenal boosters,(makes you move faster for a short time as an example.) energy wall/domes... ETC
- Vehicles, like the suits need to have stat advantages taken off the skill, like i explained above similar to those found on eve ship hulls, that in addition to vehicles falling into sub classes, for example.
Heavy Tank- Moves at 13-14m/s but has a 20 to 30k EHP and large tracking speed bonus, reduced damage output by about 30% for hybrid or missile turrets. No Small turret or seats. The purpose of this tank is protecting ground units.
Medium Tank- Current tank would fall under this category, 10-15k EHP 18-25m/s bonus can very from range to damage, the purpose is that of killing tanks.
Light Tank- 8-12k EHP, 24-35m/s improved Torque, turn radius and tracking speed. Reduced damage output by about 20% and no small turrets, still has seats. Purpose, moving people and attacking where the enemy is not expecting you, like a bigger more expensive LAV.
I could go on with vehicles but i will choose no to.
- RTS, this game needs more thought involved during the progression of matches. In 2009 CCP demoed some impressive from-map deployed large structures that would allow for some very cool incredibly unique meta game. Every patch that does not include Large deployed structures or an over head RTS commanding element is a loss in my book.
- PVE... For me its not so much the swarm of small threat survival modes that do it for me. its the Big-Fast high skill and coordination fights that take a group of well geared and dedicated mercs many tries to accomplish. PVP should never be the most challenging thing a game provides, and the rewards should match both the investment and accomplishment. That said, PVEVP has never not been fun. |
