Read the report good work.
Here is a thread that should help shed some light on the state of NF and where we are in this game

We generally have a policy not to speak in public about the inner workings of our Alliance, however given the current state of the game I will make some points as to where we are and why we are.
N-F began as a Dust organization that has quickly grown into a cross-platform (PS and PC mainly, though the new change in MS policy has some of us re-interested in Xbone again) multi-game community.
For over the past year we have advised and lent feedback to CCP and this community on the current and future state of this game. While True Grit has done a fantastic job of working on their iteration of PC and continues to do so we simply have reached a point in this game where we just are tired of the fighting the good fight in trying to improve the game.
Our main gripe is the core gameplay, it simply isn't fun for us and it all begins with FPS core related issues which i won't go into detail here but we have given plenty of feedback on.
PC simply isn't enough of what we wanted and its taken a toll on us because it just isn't fun anymore. Contrary to what people may think of us we have a lot of fun playing together and we do so outside of this game and look forward to many other games that provide that fun factor even if they are a bit carebearish (FF XIV, Warframe)
Last of Us even in its limited capacity as a MP game has been a great source of entertainment for us. We strive for excellence in our gaming as we do in our personel lives. Many of us just want to hop in a game, play together and then go on with our days as they are quite demanding at times. PC in its current form doesn't allow us to do so.
Moreover FW which should be the release valve that allows us to play together without having to be on a "schedule" simply isn't viable due to limited opportunity.
We love to Ring and teach other corps how to play PC, not just on the ground but logistically as well. I imagine some of us will even use the upcoming give ISK option and "merc" out our other talents such as PC logistics, diplomatic, secure escrow servicing. But as far as the current state of PC the main issue isn't the mode but the core gameplay upon which it is founded. Until a time that the core FPS is simply better (see feedback and other IMP posts for details) it won't matter what else this game provides.
For us gameplay > everything else.
We hope CCP and the community embraces our feedback and sees it for what it really is, a chance to make this game great and fun for all. We hope CCP truly revisits the SP Cap topic again and removes it so that the new players that come to this game can get to a place where they are comfortable testing themselves against or with veteran corps and will create a resurgence in the game. However many of us have been gaming for decades, especially in FPS and even more so consoles in general. We know how to read the signs and we know when a game is simply in trouble because we have played enough games to read the writing on the wall.
Dust is a great concept, it simply can't get here fast enough. And unlike PC communities who will often revisit a game long after they leave it behind, consolers are a different breed. We hope CCP makes amazing strides this summer and really addresses the core because if they can do that, then the vision of FF 2013 and the Dust Keynote becomes something we can all anticipate and strive to see come to fruition together.
In the meanwhile you will find us playing other games, hoping this game will someday become the masterpiece we all dared to dream it would be back in Mordu's Trials. |
