anyone roll with a gallente or caldari suit and have a shotgun?
i got a gallente suit and want to spec shottys sooner or later.. but i dunno. is it worth it? |

IMO mobility is key with a shotgun playstyle, I have had great success with a Caldari Assault and a Shotgun, I'd recommend a Kin Cat and a focus on rapid regeneration over Tank. Hell in Chromosome I went 42-0 with a B series and a CRG shotgun, granted it was a CQC map skirmish.
If you are running plate's on your Gallente and therefore have reduced strafe and sprint speed I would recommend staying away from the shotgun unless you make some major changes to your fit. I say this because closing the gap between you and your opponents quickly is extremely important to your success and survival. |

can you list your experience, opinions and maybe even loadout?

Speed is pretty imperative. Effective range is short. To not be outranged you need to flank, ambush. Being faster makes you better at the preparation for an attack and improves your effectiveness when the battle is met, for closing distance and speed tanking.
This rules out armour tanking to me, Caldari or Minmatar Assaults seem the two best options. |

Only use shotguns on light frame suits you need the movement speed to straf back in forth. |

i call the build, SG/sprinter.
Its strong and prolly op. just no one really trys it or puts time into getting good with it. |

I believe this guy is trying to troll you for reasons I cannot even begin to fathom. Anyone that listens to a TTB is looking for a world of hurt.
