Dust 514 only attracts three types of people: super hardcore EVE maniacs (5% of the players), no life neckbeards that suck at life and want their choices to matter in a video game and will never be satisfied because video games are inherently pointless (15%), and bored ps3 ppl who think its funny to run people over (80%).
Removing lavs or nerfing them (keep in mind that when CCP nerfs something they absolutely obliterate it, just look at derpships) will drive away about 80% of the players. whatever hate i get from the forum junkies is completely invalidated by the fact that the 80% of the player base i'm trying to save you from losing doesn't even know this game has a forum. |

Do you have something from CCP about those stats or are you here making lies about nothing? And who the f**k are you calling other people no life neckbeards? Are you one of those angry little nerds Draco?
the anger inside you is intense, young padawan. |

I wish you were right, but I am rarely seeing more than 1-2 LAVs per match that spends all their time running people over. That give you a very low percentage of players enjoying running people over in LAVs. My observations comes from having made an AV dropsuit specifically for LAV hunting, and I am disappointed in the low numbers of LAVs that are in each match. And many stops spawning a new LAV after I or others have destroyed their vehicle i've been spending most of my time trolling the academy as the rampant pub stomping in public matches makes me rage at a rather unhealthy level, so my perception of LAV presence may be a little exaggerated. |

Newton's 3rd law of motion When one body exerts a force on a second body, the second body simultaneously exerts a force equal in magnitude and opposite in direction to that of the first body.
If I have 1000 HP and an LAV runs me over the LAV should take 1000 damage. People will still be able to murder taxi but they will have to be cautious and spec their LAV to regen quickly so that now they can't just use a free item that can kill any infantry without any real consequence. They will still be able to kill anyone but killing a heavy will do some serious damage to the LAV, while killing a scout will be no big deal. that, yeah, no. thats just stupid. that is not at all how newtons 3rd law would work on a car hitting a person. when a HUMAN is hit by a CAR, no matter what amount of body armor they are wearing, it will not do enough damage to disable the car, wbich is basically what hou're suggesting. this already happens with head on crashes (although there may be some sort of 1 bit kill thing being applied to it) and tanks. i think that ic what you're suggesting is implemented, the damage taken from collisions should be 11% of the hp of the person it hits. there should also be a skill that remkves impact damage. |

I agree that the rampant pub stomping which luckily is not consistent can be annoying when not being squadded, seeing stacked squads on the opposing team while you see 16 randoms on your own team. BUT, to troll the academy does not make you a better player, wrong solution, it just makes you equal to the pub stomping squads if not worse. Use your LAV driving skills to driver over the pub stomping proto players instead, and they might actually change into cheaper dropsuits making the match satisfactory for more players, maybe except for the proto players.
the thing is, its not possible to actually improve your playstyle, because even though ina any other game i can stay ontarget in almost any situation, i STILL get outgunned by protos because the wim is too jumpy to actually keep on target.

Have you tried to use keyboard and mouse? Not sure if I understand your problem correct, but I am having similar problems unless I use a mouse for aiming or I am unable to keep the crosshair on the target while moving around. I believe this is an advantage to the mouse but could also be that I need more time playing with the ds3 only. And ending up on another server than the server in your own region also puts you in a disadvantage going toe to toe with an equally skilled player. i have, but they were stupid enough to try and nerf the mouse and keyboard by adding deceleration. i think THAT is what the issue with aiming is. It affects ds3 as well. |
