Removing lavs or nerfing them (keep in mind that when CCP nerfs something they absolutely obliterate it, just look at derpships) will drive away about 80% of the players. whatever hate i get from the forum junkies is completely invalidated by the fact that the 80% of the player base i'm trying to save you from losing doesn't even know this game has a forum.
I wish you were right, but I am rarely seeing more than 1-2 LAVs per match that spends all their time running people over. That give you a very low percentage of players enjoying running people over in LAVs.
My observations comes from having made an AV dropsuit specifically for LAV hunting, and I am disappointed in the low numbers of LAVs that are in each match. And many stops spawning a new LAV after I or others have destroyed their vehicle |

I agree that the rampant pub stomping which luckily is not consistent can be annoying when not being squadded, seeing stacked squads on the opposing team while you see 16 randoms on your own team.
BUT, to troll the academy does not make you a better player, wrong solution, it just makes you equal to the pub stomping squads if not worse. Use your LAV driving skills to driver over the pub stomping proto players instead, and they might actually change into cheaper dropsuits making the match satisfactory for more players, maybe except for the proto players.

the thing is, its not possible to actually improve your playstyle, because even though ina any other game i can stay ontarget in almost any situation, i STILL get outgunned by protos because the wim is too jumpy to actually keep on target.
Have you tried to use keyboard and mouse? Not sure if I understand your problem correct, but I am having similar problems unless I use a mouse for aiming or I am unable to keep the crosshair on the target while moving around. I believe this is an advantage to the mouse but could also be that I need more time playing with the ds3 only. And ending up on another server than the server in your own region also puts you in a disadvantage going toe to toe with an equally skilled player. |

It affects ds3 as well.
It also works in your favor as your opponent has the same problems as you have with the aiming. I actually find the aiming good using a ds3 in my left hand and mouse with my right hand. I am as bad at aiming now with the ds3 as I was in the previous build, I do not see any difference here. The nerf to mouse controls was needed to have equal tracking speeds between the two control schemes.
I only have problems aiming in CQC when playing on other servers than the one in my own region, both with mouse and ds3. I change to pure support logi and LAV hunting with plasma canon and av grenades which do not require the same amount of precision. |

Do you realize that you can use DualShock controllers in the PC too. ? In fact some people uses DS very effectively in games like BF3, or even CS in the PC. Of course, you never hear anyone asking for a DualShock Controller nerf in the PC, i wonder why.
I speak from my own experience playing a heavy in the previous build. I started with the ds3 only and got killed in most CQC encounters as I could not turn around fast enough to track anyone. Or that I was unable to turn fast enough and return fire when being shot in the back. I then connected my mouse and I could swipe around with my HMG and forge in no time, and suddenly started to consistently get +4-5 kill death ratios as heavy. Shooting down fast jumping scouts as they tried to run around me. I found this extremely unfair to ds3 users only, you will have to agree with that.
It feels like the turn speed is the same now, is this really that bad? I would think it was a welcoming change as it made the competition more equal now that PC was opened.
You cannot compare this with playing games on a PC where mouse and keyboard are used by everyone and the DS is optional. It is the opposite on PS3 where the DS3 is available for everyone and keyboard/mouse are optional for those that prefer this scheme.
You can compare it with the PS3 MOVE being the most precise item to use with quicker grenade throws etc. an advantage compared to they k/m users. I am sure most k/m uses would complain loudly but it is alight that k/m control scheme has the advantage.
EDIT: Sorry, I misread your message. Aligning the control methods was needed due to PC and also to balance the classes, or as I mentioned above the heavy had not problems tracking the scout which was supposed to be an advantage in favor of the scout. I cannot say anything about BF3 on PC and the difference between DS and K/M, never played the game. |

I only use an old, cheap and normal PC mouse, which is good enough for me. It is not against the rules to use a gaming mouse, they have merely changed the code in Uprising to decrease the advantage you got with the gaming mouse. You can allways argue that you can buy SP boosters to gain an advantage, why is it not accepted to buy a gaming mouse for the provided advantage. This is probably a major difference on the mindsets between PS3 players and PC players. PS3 players sees everyone using the exact same setup making everyone play on equal terms with the only difference in actual player skills. On PC every means are allowed to gain the upper hand. Personally I prefer the PS3 approach.
