What do you say CCP. Give us the ability to lay in the prone position.
Heavies wouldn't be able to do it. Really, think about the physics.
Mediums could do it with no penalty.
Lights could do it with a bonus to range and/or accuracy. Or give the bonus to a Sniper role based suit.
For one, this would bring back the light suit as THE sniper fit. I can't stand CCP promoting the heavy suit for sniping. Col. Hathcock is turning in his grave!
Prone would give you extra protection as a light suit too due to having a really low profile and would reduce kick for all suits.
This would also get more snipers off the red line.
I personally believe in red line sniping (the Col. Hathcock way). People who complain about red line sniping need to research what sniping really is. Or at least Marine Corps. sniping. That's my style.
However, being able to lay prone would certainly be an advantage for closer range sniping. You wouldn't be any more invincible especially when being shot at from a higher position.
Speaking of heavy sniper. Give them a penalty for sniping. Again, really, think of the physics. If you aren't going to implement the physics for that then get rid of murder taxies. |

I really would like if we could go prone and lean left or right in light and medium suits, more mobility options in general. However I think if you tried to apply this to the unreal engine a singularity event would open up in the depths of the PS3 and devour all DUST players into nothingness. |

This would make redline/mcc snipers close to impossible to hit. its already difficult, and if you mange to hit one , they just drop back and self rep. Easy mode is already easy. the only way this should ever be considered is if you remove the redline/mcc camping, then and only then would I not activly fight to prevent this. |
