Our feedback would be speculative and worthless, we need to experience the changes not read about them. |

Things on paper may seem unbalanced. There is a big difference between theory and practice. What do you think would be more illuminating, stats or actual interaction? |

And yet they actually state in promo videos and interviews that they listen to the players. Also players have a different perspective from developers. Jervis Jonson the famous Games Workshop game developer who created the award winning boardgame bloodbowl has never won a game against a player. He admitted himself is because players tend to disect stuff in order to win, while developers can't seperate themselves from the big picture. Both perspectives are required to produce a balanced, fun game. Developers ignore player input at thier peril. I am not saying they should not listen to us, just that they should listen to us after we have experienced the changes so we actually have something valid to express other than our concerns based on stats. |

How would letting us give our feedback on proposed changes be any kind of an issue at all? People are going to ***** and complain either way, at least this way there might be a little bit of usefulness to it, since CCP has a habit of overlooking very simple things that many of us could / do notice right away. It's ok, I literally cannot take this game seriously anymore, it's actually bad for my health. Its just a game. I think releasing the notes is a good idea, I just feel we wont really know how it feels til we actually experience it. Numbers > Experience |

It can't hurt.
Any progress is better than no progress.
The Dust Devs should definately take a leaf out of the eve dev play book and start forum threads based on potential changes. (in ref to CCP Rise, ship balancing threads).
I agree, any new avenue of communication would hopefully have a calming effect. They should hire 1 or 2 people whose only job would be to translate information to us on the regular. |
