On one side we have the people that are willing to give CCP time and support them and give them a chance to prove themselves.
On the other side, we have people wasting their own time and lives to make sure they **** off other people.
I myself am a disgrunted player who have made a few posts asking questions to CCP or wondering about the current state of affairs.
I have been a gamer for most of my life and I would say this is currently one of the worst community I have ever been in.
Hell, it even beats Diablo 3's community.
Im not sure what as a community we can do, but I think its time to pressure CCP to have more forum moderation, to the point of locking MAC addresses to prevent future spam.
I personally dislike the current state of the game, but I see no point to have spams of disgrunted people. I am all for constructive feedback but I will always wonder why some people have to steep so low as to use Ad Hominums and simply spam this place.
So, community, what can be done? What can CCP do? What can WE do? |

Trying to ignore all the QQ threads and such can only be done if the whole community does so.
Which is impossible. There will always be someone caught in trolling. And the trolls will always jump in the constructive threads.
I think CCP isnt strict enough on bans, and trying to enforce IP bans.
I wish CCP would have a bigger presence again on the forums, but Im quite sure they are at the point where its not even worth it to reply anymore and they are just going to plow away with their projects while we argue between ourselves.
Its hard in those cases to know what to do. |

The problem is that CCP did it to themselves with poor communications, promises of communications and then failing those promises again.
From the SP transfers to the next week, to balancing, to skill respecs that arent processed yet, to trailers that actually never happened in game or simply ideas dropped.
I can understand the frustration, as even if its free-to-play, people invested money in promises that never happenned. Ya know, like politics actually.
I understand the sides... the people that still have hope and bring constructive feedback and the people that have been here for a year and continually kept being lied to.
I know the feedback section is better, but the degeneration that has been happening in GD is actually something I rarely seen. Hell, even CCP is barely monitoring it now.
The funny thing is this community used to be great. People were always willing to give feedback during beta. But then all our feedbacks were just ignored.
So what can we do as a community now? Simply wait a little bit longer, give more feedback that might just go unanswered and hope for a miracle?
How can we try to get the community to be more constructive in their frustration?
Hell, even the CPM seems to have taken a step back from all of it.
Was this all part of the metagame CCP had in mind? That would be insane. |
