Anyone else stoked for this thing? Saving up my SP for it right now. Hopefully this thing gives us tankers what we need to better compete with the proto AV.
This thread is for tin foil hat speculation on what the suit will do / how it'll work.
Personally, I'm hoping that they introduce pilot-only suit modules that'll let us augment our tanks base stats, like additional resists, RoF, or mobility.
I'm also really hoping that these modules are godawful expensive, so those that kinda want to maybe sorta tank can be seperated from HARDCORETANKBLAAARRRRRGH peeps. |

CCP are going to have to be fairly gentle with pilot suit bonuses.
Because it is percentages, it could mean the already tough tanks get a lot tougher. |

the pilot suit should increase all the vehicle stats by different mounts depending on what the specialization of the pilot suit is, I would imagine that there would be pilot suits for air vehicles and ground vehicles, but that's not the case. |

I'm hoping that the reason we don't have advanced / prototype tanks (if they're not planned already) is because we've been waiting on the pilot suits to put us on equal footing with the AV guys. Nothing like a pair of breach forge gunners to ruin your good day xD |

Lol, I suggest a module for the pilot suit that gives you a decent RDV pilot, Im really going to shed tears when that one jerk flys my tank in, toilet bowling round and round me until I get shot from a redline sniper |

TBH the thing I'm most happy about is having a proto suit to walk around in the warbarge. I feel dumb in my dragonfly when I've got 8m SP.
The thing I'm most UNHAPPY about is having to skill into dropsuits to buff my vehicle. Just another thing to make the vehicle sink bigger and more exclusive. |

Perhaps there will be some new high slot boosts modules that increase a specific stat of the vehicle, I.e. a manoeuvrability buff, damage buff, or defense buff. However you'll only be able to fit say 2 max, allowing you for different bonuses for different situations. (Tank&damage, Tank&tank, damage&speed, etc.) |

I would love to see a pg/CPU buff, but think it is unlikely. To use it you would have to create a fitting that exceeds the current pg/CPU of the tank you have to call in. Then the game would have to register that you are wearing the suit to call it in. What if someone else jacks your tank, what if you call it in then switch suits at a supply depot.
A more likely set of buffs will either be module cooldown times or enhancing turret operations. |

I think the most logical bonuses for pilot suits would be module cool down bonuses .
- I would allow DS pilots the ability to use their speed more often - It would, in a sense, give tanks a HP bonus as they could rep sooner/more often
Proto should give 2 bonuses. 1 for the module cool down and 1 for module efficacy. |
