My main: 14.9 mil SP, tank/LAV pilot, Gallente logistics. Vehicles all prototype modules and weapons + LV1 enforcer (caldari) and LV3 logistic. Infantry proto suits, proto AR, proto highs/lows, all advanced equipment.
Alt #1: 6.7 mil sp, proto Amarr assault suites, proto scrambler rifle, proto flaylock, proto highs (3 complex shield extenders) basic lows (2 basic plates and a basic rep), basic nano (compact). Just started getting into using the laser rifle with this character, and I have to admit (with the bonus to heat build up from the Amarr suit) I am really starting to enjoy myself. When I rock the LR I always use an SMG.
Alt #2: 2.8 mil SP, Minmatar sidearm purist, LV3 minmatar basic suits, LV2 minmatar assault suits. LV4 SMG, LV4 scrambler pistol, 2 complex shield extenders, 1 enhanced damage mod, 2 basic plates, 1 compact nano. This is all on the adv basic. I don't use the assault much yet. But I can't wait until I get to the adv's so that the bonus is at least noticeable. I've been having a lot of fun with this build lately. It was difficult to skill up in the beginning but well worth it. The assault scrambler pistol assault SMG combo kicks ***. |

Many games I am an alt-a-holic, but for Dust, I remain pure and untainted by the draw to even create a second or third character. It feels like a grind if I don't play a character with passive skill gains.
That's not how you creat an alt silly. You creat a diferent PSN account. |

My corp gets 100% of my time and there is no need to use alts to fill in gaps in the corp. My "alt" is training and helping corp members get better while always having a solid noticeable presence as one solid name. My corp never needs to learn my alt's name, cause I have none. Zero confusion.
Whatever floats your boat. |

Zero confusion. Whatever floats your boat. But in all fairness, if I did make an alt. It would be a driver of heavy assault types. Either HAV, or Assault Dropships. My main is a ground pounding soldier. There would be no way I would want to "grind" through all the lvl 5 core skills I have right now again...
It's not so bad. 7 mil sp tops. I've been grinding my alt #2 now for a little less than a month now (with active and passive boosters) and I am at 2.8 mil SP. So what is that? Like three months. *Shrugs* That's not so bad. And it has only been a month and I am already starting to get to the point were I am really beginning to enjoy this character. My other alt (alt #1) 6.7 mil SP and I don't even feel the need to buy boosters for him any more. He just gains natural passive an whatever active from however often I decide to play him. I usually play him a day or a little more a week. No rush. Although I have been thinking about buying a couple of boosters for him recently just so I could quickly skill into LR and SMG. I'm having a lot of fun with that.
Anyway, like I said whatever floats your boat. |
