i am really waiting to see some bigger tank battles in a huge field, so i can put my av skills to proper use. I use more the railgun so i need more railgun sniping if i want to kill something without being instantly killed. |

I was on a 2 on 7 tank fight last week on ashlands. Blew up 3 before the other five (actually it was just one that got a jump on me first but he was spearheading the 5) took me out. By end of the match we blew up all the tanks. |

considering that whenever the vehicles reach a point in which they are actually worth using the playerbase throws a fit until they get nerfed back down to being a liability, I'm going to suggest you don't hold your breath waiting for huge tank battles. |

This. The reason that you don't see a dozen tanks in every match is because they cost a lot of money (good tanks drain you 550K, Good tanks in the 550-850K range, and Excellent tanks drain you upwards of 1.8 mil).
On that note, if tanks were more sustainable (that is, all that crap you need for a good tank is less expensive), I'd shudder to imagine how many tanks people would bring onto the field. It would be horrible for infantry who hadn't specced into AV. |

Yeah, that's definitely the other half of the equation in regards to the basic problem with vehicles.
A year ago CCP was telling us we should expect at least 32vs32 by launch, and that they were hoping for 64vs64. |

that brings up another question: when are the districts going to be larger cause if u look the redzone when looking at the map u can see a greater territory that could be used, and increasing the players amount without super lag is also important in a mmofps. |

I doubt the districts can realistically get much bigger on the PS3. Maybe if they eventually port the game to PS4 and give it it's own play modes. |

no matter how many other tank drivers I go up against, theyl always die, my rail gun and driving skills are from the E3 build in closed beta so I know more than most about driving these things |

They wouldn't stop calling them down. also the first one I blew up was called down first before the rest of them started landing. They peaked at 7 they called in like... 10 total. |

Tanks are called by players. So it depends on players to make a battle "Epic Tank Battle". But how will you hack objectives while all are driving their tanks? Somebody will have to risk being sniped from red HAV... |

MAG. That's all. If they could do it (that's all it really ended up being right, a tech demo?) so can CCP.
I'm not holding my breath, but larger maps are certainly possible on PS3... especially if they tone back the graphics.
Seriously, who cares about graphics? As long as they aren't atrocious (stick figures) I'm MUCH more worried about gameplay.
I still play MoO, Civ2 and MoM though, so perhaps I'm not the best judge. I just can't bring myself to care about graphics though, as long as they're acceptable. Chromosome was fine for me. The "improvements" seem to have caused more problems than they were worth. I mean... there's nothing mind-blowing going on, so who cares?
I guess I'm a minority though. = /

I cannot believe you know anything about piloting HAV's. I don't run often, but I don't lose many tanks either. I'd imagine you'd like it better if I just got out and waited for you to finish off my tank?
I'd imagine Dropship pilots are castrated as well?

If there are larger maps that have open fields and buildings and there are game modes where you can make a lot money, then we will see huge vehicle fights. But this probably wont happen this year. |

The rest of industry is on 24 man teams and dust can barely get 12 working. I can why Iceland kept dust at arms length because by November I would call blank slate on the project :-( |

If teams would work together using transfers and reps from vehicle to vehicle then HAVs would be more viable but as it is now no one uses transfers and reps. I was using lav with a shield transfer and it helped, I bet a transfer from HAV to HAV would do much better. Work as a team. 6 person squads can pilot at least two HAVs at once. One glass cannon and the other is a logi. |

Yeah we all know 15% of the players are either sniping or afk. Redline and afk needs to be patched sooner rather than later. |

im seeing that tactic more often, its better to destroy the one that's giving the hp boost 1st so that you don't have to worry |

Not if every one of them were proto tanks with 10,000 HP. Which, ultimately, will happen. Whether in Uprising 1.2, or in some other crazy build. Most likely, when the infantry have 100% of their gear, and all the battlefields are perfect, we'll get our vehicles. |
