Some of you have been talking trash about us on our chat channel. Well my ex friends, yes I used to be in your starter corp, bring it. Have a run at me and my squad that left pro with me. If you got the sack to put your money where your mouth is, look us up on the star map and come get some. If not, end it. I'd say we'd come for you but you are the ones talking bull. My squad and my corp will roll you back to the stone age, but like your ex ceo you don't have the guts... |

It will make you feel like you are pushing around toddlers when they attack. Honestly if you have any "love" for where you got your start its best to just let them talk. Pat them on the head and tell them how cute they are.
The only way any of them will ever be in any good fights will be when they join a different corp. |

So a new player is forever tainted if they start out with a starter corp?
Seems a bit harsh. How many brand new characters are you guys accepting right now? |

If they are proven from other games we'd take them. PFB took anybody in as long as you had the basics of the game down as in killing. There's corps out there. |

I hear you, its all good. I made a ton of friends while in pro. A lot left and are currently in your alliance. Most of my bros are here in Molon Labe or in the League of Infamy.
The only downside of spending so much time in pro is that it hurt our development. The top corps were battling each other and honing their skills against top notch competition while pro was being pro.
In the end it matters very little what we think of players work history. Seems silly. There are dudes with much better resumes than I that I'm not all that impressed with. |

Yeah I'm with you on this one Thor, Xero began in a starter corp too. Xero kinda dodged the question about if TeamPlayers is accepting apps from brand new players, but the answer is we are very selective about who joins. And very very seldom does TeamPlayers seek out another player. PFBHz required you fill out an application on an engine website and people grilled you unless they already knew you and then you were given trial status for two weeks and played with their members who left public and private feedback on your app essentially listing your average KDR in matches played with you, whether you communicated effectively (callouts, concise directions, prone to raging) and other stuff like whether they liked you and suppositions of whether you fit in, Eclipse even got his feet put to the fire for all the ish that went down in Unreal and he was a really cool cat while he was with us. (sorry for the digression) I feel like Teamplayers is a family with all the pros and cons, not a corporation on a lone game. Same way I felt in PFBHz cept the family was going through a divorce and the kids were caught in the middle, same way I felt in Subdreddit. Doesn't matter where you're born, you can climb your way to the top IRL same way you can graduate from PRO and Be a CEO of Molon Labe. Remember PRO beat Internal Error in a CB before uprising if I remember correctly. |

We were not always so precise with our grilling of trials Zatara when we were all PFBHz. For example, Hana and I simply put on your app that you were not a fgt. and that you were cool.

This thread is terrible and filled with terrible people. FYI - if Molon Labe is taking credit for the PC training matches vs I.E. you should also take note we had a 'no red line agreement' and often came with gear restrictions since "Molon Labe" couldn't field full proto. Made us sad but they were great to use to higher morale before PC launched ;)
Wait - what was the point of this thread again? Generals butt hurt over PRO trolling them? LOL |

Yes we all know they were PRO at the time, and left to become Molon Labe, nevertheless, PRO beat IE. We all remember. It wasn't IE that beat the Imperfects A-team back at the beginning of open beta, it was PFBHz; It didn't change just because the corp members who accomplished it are somewhere else now, or ragequit this fail game.

So the gear restrictions made neither of you have a skill point advantage right? Sounds fair to me. Or did they make you play in Militia gear while they fielded advanced? |

The thread has ventured off topic quite a bit, but nevertheless...
I was not in this battle, but I'm certain we didn't have limitations set. Those battles and others really shined a light on how far we were behind, but provided us with motivation to do what we did.
That said, I'm not beating my chest. The platoons we built in PRO started getting things going in the right direction, but there was still an elephant in the room that we couldn't ignore any longer.
In regards to terrible thread and terrible people, i dont think we've had the pleasure of squading together. If this thread helps someone in PRO that doesn't know any better see that they need to leave the leadership vacuum that is PRO then it's worth it.
Pro was my first clan/corp/guild of any type. If we hadn't all left together I'd probably still be there despite the shortcomings because of the relationships that were built there. I actually joined Red Star for a week before going back. And those guys were great, it just wasn't the same.
Now at Molon Labe it's better than I could have imagined. We have the great community and the support to get where we want to be as players.
It'll always be hard to keep my nose out of PRO threads because of my roots there. Just like I'm sure it will be for PFB threads for some of the others in this thread. And more than likely because of the relationships more so than victories in battles. |
