Dust Servers Need to be shutdown and put on a Hiatus, all current players will recieve no passive SP in the meantime. This game wasn't ready to be released and won't be ready to be a true AAA title any time soon.
I suggest that the servers be shutdown for at least a Year, use this time to bring this game up to today's standards. You rushed this game, no, excuse me, YOU WORKED TOO SLOW on this game and now you're paying the price. With your most loyal players already leaving, planning to leave or just unhappy with your game, and then you have your new players quitting upon arrival, it's time to call it how it is. Stop This futile attempt at trying to dig yourself out of the very grave you've dug yourselves.
You will get bashed left and right by reviewers, seen as a failure gaming company and most of your player base will be upset and lose all support and faith in you. This is the cost, the risk, you must take in order to reach for something greater, something which you let slip out of your grasp.
Shutdown the servers and get to work. Start working on re-releasing on the PS4, Gather more developers, hone your skills, learn from your mistakes. Ignore the bad press, the flaming community and the success of those games that will be dominating your genre while you're absent. In a years time you will be ready, you will be ready to prove to the gaming community that you did what they said you could not, you will re-release the most amazing in depth quality MMOFPS the industry has ever seen.
You will be Legend. Dust 514 will be Legend.

CCP has buried themselve's neck deep in problems, promises, balance issues and upcoming content.
I wouldn't mind seeing this game get put down for a 6 months or a year, even more if need be. There are tons of games to play in the meantime and I'm sure we'd all rather play this game in it's true form anyhow.
If they continue on this path the game will surely die upon PS4 release and it's top contender quality titles. |

You can either die fighting and die honorably.
Or you can retreat with shame and train to face your foe once again, except now you'll be bigger, better, faster, stronger, wiser. Now you will be victorious. |

This is the best course of action for this game to take. Don't let pride blind you of the right decision.
I wouldn't suggest this if I didn't care for the game. It's time for you to fold your cards. |

The OP is certainly right about them needing more developers although there are two major benefits to the game being open now.
- Technical issues that can only be found and debugged by having a game active over the internet.
- Feedback from the community. In spite of our anger, rage, or QQ-ing a number of good ideas have made their way out of these forums. It also doesn't hurt for us to providing alerts over some of the most messed up issues.

**** CCP had to know what they were getting into and what type of community they were dealing with. What were they thinking working this slow and showing so little for all of that time? Maybe it's best if they do shut the servers down, and get their **** together. |

That can all be done after the game is at a stable and polished state where are feedback is actually used to better small and balance issues and minor bugs. Right now there is way too much of both and our feedback is getting drowned out by the incredible multitude of problems this game has. |

I almost want Dust to require monthly subscriptions so they had to put out a good product. |

nah.
They should just remove the game and when you log on you can look at your SP grow from passive SP.
Basically the same game we have now but CCP can use cheaper servers. |

Basically yes, but a year from now. Taking the community out of the picture takes a huge load off of CCP's already 100 page "To do" list that they've fallen so far behind on.
Putting the game in Hiatus for a year will give them ample enough time to get this game in shape and add the content that so desperately needs to be added.
Also, the fact that this was moved to Feedback and Requests at least tells me CCP is listening or their trying to drown out any support this idea may get by sending it here to be ignored and forgotten. |

AT LAST, someone that sees the way i am seeing things in DUST 514....if they don't do smth radical DUST 514 will die upon PS4 release that is 100% true.. they can't even give us all the racial dropsuits which are like 5 drawings and 5 statistics not major updates.... they should play some FPS and come back stronger cause as time passes everyone not only abandons the game but gets MAD because of the false hopes he had for this game.. |

you know..
I played Dust since closed beta.. I loved it.. addicted
Now i honestly HATE this game.. there is NO depth anymore, just AR's ..none of the other weapons work
I actually quit playing completely last week.. was only playing intermittently since the nerfs..
But if you want the camel breaking reason: CCP are super arrogant, and I think downright stupid..
Ignoring the months of beta testing, then deciding HUGE 50% nerfs based on 1 drunken office party..
1 month after uprising and they still wont rollback the nerfs, or even admit theres a problem? as the entire player base leaves? If they fix anything.. its stealth fix and nobody even knows wtf is going on..
Ive had enough.. and I really am quite certain this game is headed for an early grave.. positive in fact
*CCP doesnt even have a test server.. lol.. sooooo unprofessional |

People are already rushing in swarms to get into the beta. People are anxious to see if the game is finally what they hoped it would be.
The same thing will happen with Dust if they do this. They might lose a few players as expected but upon their return those who have played and those who have been watching will be curious to see if the game is finally worth investing time and money into. And Good News spreads quickly if they did it right. |

Send DUST back. Return it to Closed Beta. Then I could slightly forgive missing bits. Give those who were beta testing that status back. Put everyone else into a shutdown state. Similar to when an EVE account run out of time. This way the general public will get it when it's ready, and balance and bugs can be worked out.
Please CCP, trust us, DUST ain't done yet |

I say that once they have all the racial variants of all suits and most of the weapons they can call this a real game. as it is now it is just a glorified beta, and it will live on after the PS4 is out because it is free to play and people on the ps4 will be able to play it ( if not at the stat soon after). what relay needs to happen is that true updates need to happen faster and to do that Sony would have to make it cheaper to do it. |

What's funny is the number of people who think these reboots have anything at all to do with Dust. Hint, it isn't "Dust" that's going down. It's the Eve servers, which Dust sits on top of. When Tranquility goes down everything goes down.
These reboots have also been happening right when TEST starts swinging its manhood up in space. The nodes we're piling into aren't strong enough to hold all of us, and things start going wrong on the back end. Normally a star system that is expected to have more than 1000 people in it gets placed into a reinforced node, and we've been regularly piling 2000 into random spots out in null lately. |
