Where is the oh so promised transparency after the seemingly overwhelming hate for uprising?
I say this because we had to find out about in game stats about items that are going to be released soon, by watching a trailer at E3! Does anyone see something wrong with this?
Iron Wolf Saber is also quoted on saying that we are getting a bombing dropship!?!?
Where is the transparency, the community input, the faith from CCP? I thought that after the abysmal approach to uprising with so many ninja nerfs and changes that we never even wanted. That we would have something different regarding dev to player communication.
Instead we have Iron Wolf Saber, who in his quest for forum domination has (at least to me) been the most helpful of at least informing us of changes AND (most importantly) asking our opinions.
Sure the Weekly Updates thread in Feedback And Requests is nice, But I need something more than a sentence in terms of what stats are gonna be on the new armor plates. And considering that they are still working on items in the #1 post (more WP for dropship pilots) That the thread in general is more of a "we may get to this eventually" kind of thread. Which disheartens me.
I was really hoping that uprising became our own uprising. And that we would see changes because of it. But a Tyrant is always a Tyrant. |

CCP doesn't feel they need our permission or input to add whatever diddly dally the see fit in putting in the game.
They just want our feedback on how these things work AFTER they've already ruined the game or proven to be broken. |

Why the hell would they need our permission for anything? It is their game... we just play it. |

Their game, their rules, and their decision. They really do not need our permission but what they do need is players.
It doesn't have to be us but it has to be someone.
I understand that CCP advertising campaign is generally based on word of mouth. If it is not us bringing players in then who is it? It's certainly not coming through the various reviews out there.
Quick question. How many people have you brought into the game? How many of these people still play regularly? How many people have they brought in and do they still play often? Final question how many of them come from a console or FPS background and are not Eve Vets?
Now I am expecting and hoping your answer will be positive and you and others have brought in lots of new players and they are still here. My concern is that for many the answer isn't so positive and people are just waiting for the next round of FPS games to be introduced.
Not all requests, critisms, and yes even demands are indicators of entitlement, juvenile behaviour or whining. Sometimes it is about passion, desire and concern that the game is not all it could have been at this stage and that time is running out on this being a genuine AAA title with broad appeal across a large installed player base willing to invest their time in Dust 514 for years and decades to come. |
