this will be posted in feedback as well but to get more people reading / commenting it will be here as well, ok so the railgun is the direct damage (DD) turret while the missile is the splash damage (SD) the reasoning tot hat is because the railgun is AV and bad against infantry while the missile is a 50-50 so I`ll give you the stats.
something to note is acronyms: DD = Direct Damage, SD = Splash damage, BR = Blast radius, RoF = Round of Fire (everyone knows that 1 though) FI = Fire interval.
small railguns: (heat build up is 3-4 shots)
STD: DD 275 SD 75 BR 0.7 FI 1.1 ADV: DD 330 SD 90 BR 0.7 FI 1.1 PRO: DD 357.5 SD 97.5 BR 0.7 FI 1.1
small missiles:
STD: DD 350 SD 175 BR 2.0 FI 1.6 ADV: DD 420 SD 210 BR 2.0 FI 1.6 PRO: DD 455 SD 227.5 BR 2.0 FI 1.6
ultimate DD railgun turret: (heat build up is 3 shots)
STD: DD 412.5 SD 90 BR 0.7 FI 1.4 ADV: DD 495 SD 108 BR 0.7 FI 1.4 PRO: DD 536.2 SD 117 BR 0.7 FI 1.4
so (ish counts) 60, 70 then an 80 in DD difference from the ultimate DD turret there is vs the normal splash damage turret, I think the stats of the normal railgun turrets need to be that of the compressed and the compressed needs their difference doubled.
so the result would be:
normal railguns: STD: DD 412.5 SD 90 BR 0.7 FI 1.4 ADV: DD 495 SD 108 BR 0.7 FI 1.4 PRO: DD 536.2 SD 117 BR 0.7 FI 1.4
small missiles:
STD: DD 350 SD 175 BR 2.0 FI 1.6 ADV: DD 420 SD 210 BR 2.0 FI 1.6 PRO: DD 455 SD 227.5 BR 2.0 FI 1.6
ultimate DD railgun turret: (heat build up is 3 shots)

ok so this is a good way to take railguns slowly up (I assume CCP is hesitant to this because they are taking LAAs into consideration but I am as well and still think it will be fine, of course though, they have played it I haven`t) thing is though, small turrets should be as good if not near as good as the heavy weapon types that mimic them, so I will re list the RESULT STATS vs the current FG stats. Charge Up Time (CUT) has been added.
normal FG stats: STD: DD 1320 SD 232 BR 2.0 FI none CUT 3.5 ADV: DD 1452 SD 245.1 BR 2.8 FI none CUT 3.5 PRO: DD 1584 SD 277.2 BR 3.0 FI none CUT 3.5

I would like to announce DUST514`s biggest imbalance of its full history of all time, and that DUST514 was made by Capcom on steroids where guns larger then the mass of the people are fired from the hip.
beside that compressed blaster turrets ALL need a 3+ damage to their turrets but a 3.2 to the PRO variant so it has the same damage of the Scattered, the scattered combines the good stats of the other blasters but for some reason is stronger then the compressed, seeing the compressed small blaster short handed and UP in an all and all, the 3+ damage will fix it for its worth.
also the fragmented small missile turret needs the description fixed or the stats, it should be the best DD missile turret with a low SD but it has a lower SD and BR but has the same DD as the normal turrets of the same meta lv so yea.....

I just think heavy weapons and small turrets should be the same thing; let me throw a forge on my LAV or have a heavy with a small railgun. |

It would be amusing if you could not equip a turret to a LAV then a forge gunner could jump on and mount his FG to the LAV (and get overheat instead of ammo consumption). That would only work if heavy weapons were equal to small turrets. |

Can you do the math for blaster turrets? I have been having great success using it as a anti-vehicle fit for my ADS, I was only able to destroy milita tanks with the basic turret but I killed them in like 30secs to 1 minute if they are out in the open. I'm working on the advance turrets to see how great that is. |

Edit: need to read before jumping the gun but should I use railguns for AV or is blasters just fine?
the best AV small turret atm are missile (rail guns SHOULD be) and blasters are second best, I used to use them more oftenly when I flew myrons as my gunship but my dedicated gunners and I just role ADS (with a triage module)+ tank now, so the blasters aren't weak sauce as AV but expect them to be the worst of these 3 when small railguns get balanced. Blasters don`t do more shield damage then armor and visa versa so if your fighting Caldari or Minimatar it will be best to use a lazer turret (coming soon), take inot mind Ammar are anti shield and Minimitar are anti armor so you will have some nice AV load-outs down the road.
I run XL cycled missile turrets on my ADS but I use blasters time to time for fun. I`ll get a few blaster stats to reinforce the compressed blaster statement. |

I think the same way, small turrets are heavy weapons should be the same, the fact that FG are stronger then large railguns is insane. |
