I rarely ever post on the forums since I just play Dust just for the sake of playing a game. But here is what I notice in the game and maybe others have also seen this as well (of course there may be repeats as others may have seen and experienced these things as well)
Frozen LAV's - I notice this for a while. Whenever you die, and jump back in your LAV, a minute after driving it freezes in place. you cannot get back in or recall it anymore, only destroy it. it is kind of concerning as most LAV's can be destroyed by this, and lose ISK easily.
Aim mechanic - I remember just yesterday on two different instances, I was shooting from a LAV Turret and the missile was shooting in the right (take note that the turret was pointing straight and the LAV was motionless the entire time. I had to jump out and jump back in for it to be okay. Another time I was shooting an assault rifle, and the bullets were just not hitting my target, actually he was hacking a turret, and the bullets were shooting above him at an odd angle. I thought this was peculiar.
Loading Glitch - I'm pretty sure this is self explanatory, we all experienced this before, and still happens though supposedly fixed when this build came out.
Shield HAV - Many posts about this. though sometimes I can kill an armor tank (If I surprise it) it is still underpowered. but it is mostly the armor rep. Maybe making it par to the Shield rep would equal them. (though I am worried this would just kill the armor tank as it is weak enough to explosives.)
Lag issues - Lets face it, the lag is an utter mess to the game, sometimes will make the game unplayable. hopefully this is looked into.
Communication - I look into forums whenever I have spare time, so it is usually less frequent then most people on here. There is rarely any DEVs responding besides the recent topic on PC, and even then it is 3 replies and then none else. I feel this would help tremendously, especially to those who are already infuriated about the lack of feedback from DEVs posting updates or news on progress. (Although they could only reading it and just taking information and working on it)
Weapons - Assault rifles of course, are always going to be the main weapon in any war game. But due to the heavy set backs some weapons took (A.K.A Mass driver, HMG) there is lesser variety used. This is coming from a merc who only uses vehicles. HMG's are meant to annihilate mercs up close (at least not so close as it only has 6 feet range, but even farther, maybe 10m farther then they are now) and mass drivers are now at their role, but not as well as a job as one may seem, I seen this in battles, and a MD merc usually dies, almost always.
A.I. Turret - Though in last build, they were remotely non-existent unless someone was operating it, they are now way too deadly. I like that they are active, but the accuracy is really unerring, especially blaster turrets.
Dropship - They Need something. It is almost as if they do not count in DUST. A small increase into health or war points would be acceptable. I feel bad for those who drive dropships and don't get anything accountable for it. I guess they drive for fun maybe.
Like I said, I play the game for fun. I usually care little about the bugs since I can work with it, but those are the major things I notice. I know there are repeats of certain things, but these are just somethings I am addressing here and want feedback or criticism on. I will post suggestions next since I have a lot but for now, just doing feedback and will post more.

never had the frozen LAV glitch before.
the aiming mechanics on this game are horrendous. the rockets need something done to them, like flying in a drop ship the lag needs to be fixed and using rockets are practically useless, when you shoot and the missile goes so far to the right that it disappears off the screen then something is wrong.
loading glitch is still there, happened to me twice yesterday.
armor tanks are under powered to shield tanks when fighting infantry, but a armor tank can take on a shield tank if evenly matched.
lag hasn't been too bad, yes there is lag. but if there is ever lag then it normally just kicks me from the server and I have to restart.
I would like to see the devs post more, maybe if they could add a blue tag to the ones that they have read soo we know who's and what topics they are looking at. or a red tag if a GM reads it, then if they respond place DEV or GM inside of it.
HMG range needs to be buffed, mass driver splash needs to be increased, and rocket accuracy HAS to be better.
AI turret I think is fine, I mean other games have even smarter turrets. look at cod, the AI kill streaks are extremely deadly.
agreed many times when I see people flying drop ships its only to get them to a higher location, then they recall it or it gets hit and they crash it into the building. they do need an HP buff. I mean half the time what kills the drops ship is when it gets hit by a forge gun and nocks it side ways and the pilot cant get control of it again. |

Powergrid/b] - The powergrid seems too hectic (vehicles especially) due to the unaccountable drawback it received this build. I do not think it needs to be like that of chromosome (armor vehicles would be eradicators to shields then this build) but some increase then to make vehicles equally viable. with the first post I talked about making armor reps somewhat on with shields and not dangerously helpful, and increasing the powergrid, and altogether would make shields and armor equally tactical and well.
Repair gears - These tools seem off. I noticed sometimes the repair tools on both Logi suits and LLAVs seem cumbersome, especially on LLAV's. dropsuits are somewhat reasonable (though an ally had trouble today getting a lock on me when i was in front of him o_0) but LLAVs can barely have multiple dropsuits locked on to have repairs, lucky to get one.
[b]Suggestion - fix the reapir tool a little for improved and maybe faster lock-on. for the LLAVs, a small bubble like a nanohive to repair others when they are in the bubble. this may sound like a cheating tactic as everyone may try to get in, but take to account of AV weapons and the LLAV must remain still for the repairs to be affective. |

LAV - I Think the reason of the "Murder Taxi" epidemic is because like I said in the last post, the repair tool for the LLAV is too cumbersome, and the turret seems kind of useless when on the move. Move to slow and the gunner dies, which leaves both you and the gunner especially agitated. Also the reason that me personally, the vehicle received too much increase of HP.
Suggestion - make the turret on the LAV more accurate (the tracking skills doesn't really help it's accuracy) lower the HP of the LAV Slightly, not too much, so it could still be effective (Militia however, revert back to chromosome health, this way it won't be abused). Have some protection for the gunner, like something he can hop into and only leave half of his body exposed. Or making the turret a drone, shooting by itself or have a passenger operating it. (just some tangible thoughts)
Graphics - there are some weird graphic defections i see in the game (floating rocks, invisible walls, stuck on a piece of dirt, that's fun) and some parts are still fuzzy sometimes.
Planetary Conquest - There is a lot of talk of this, so I will try to keep this at minimum. There is not much integration with EVE with this. It seems just like a attack and defend (capture the flag) kind of mode. and there really is not much do to besides make clones there, buy an MCC and hope your district does not become under attack at a horrible time.
Suggestion - little more integration with EVE so at least we know we are making some impact on the universe of EVE. some other content of adding buildings to our district (don't know if this is talked about) I will leave this to the DEV FoxFour as he is talking about this.
Content - This may be asking much but some promises are meant to be broken and there are those that are meant to be kept, such as this. I am happy to see about the new weapons and different types of vehicles implemented but maybe at least 1 should be added a month or a few weeks. Again this could be much, but does not need to happen, do it at your pace if you want to, not my game |
