So there i was AFK camping a battle like a baws, posted up inside the MCC when i saw some wierd graphics glitch... and then i saw health bars... looking directly at the anomaly returned a combat readout 'Bolas' ...
Bolas spawned INSIDE the MCC... with a jeep... and collision spasmed itself to death. i got a free murder taxi with unlimited ammo to harass the other AFK Campers, which was entertaining, but saddly it was high centered on the drop bay doors so i couldnt do anything 'FUN' with it...
but raising the points of RDVs being worse at flying than most players... to attempt to spawn INSIDE the MCC... is there nothing that can be done for these? i feel like i am playing the old LEMMINGS game, championing this cause to try saving them... |

I wonder how hard would it be to just have them spawn out in no mans land somewhere and have them fly in to your location, although even now when they magically spawn in the battlefield close by their pathfinding still sucks |

spawning inside MCC is fairly uncommon, but i remember losing MANY dropships to RDVs spawning ONTOP of me mid flight...
i lost even more dropships to RDVs never taking a shot and STILL dying before reaching the drop point....
RDVs are LEMMINGS!!! they dont care they just keep moving forward like imbeciles... |

They should just do away with RDVs and simply materialize the vehicles near the player. They're either messing up and causing trouble or basically giving the enemies free WP anyways. |

at least until they can unf**k the basic AI enough to be reliable...
but once they can get them to be reliable enough to NOT die in stupid ways, it would be sensical, give the enemy team a way of disabling vehicular reinforcements or simply drive up the cost of war by destroying their mechanized logistics support. it makes perfect sense in theory... but the currently implemented system... not so much... and the fact that the players dont have to reimburse the RDVs mean that they are just another 'under appreciated' asset of war... which they have referred to them as being a paid for asset in the game during one of the OLD videos(2010 trailer i believe), which was to drive home the point that EVERYTHING was going to have a price tag attached to it. |

Rdvs should cause no Dmg when they hit things, flying dropships is hard enough, make them knock dships rather then insta gib, if the get shot down though full Dmg all round, as a rail tanker I find that funny as f

they shouldnt be COMPLETELY harmless, but there should be a period of 'no collision' upon spawning, to prevent RDVs from spawning ONTOP of dropships... always annoyed me when i was providing coverfire for infantry at a contested CRU and then next thing i know RDV MATERIALIZES inside of me and i die instantly through no fault of my own... 2-5 second 'no collision' would provide drop ships enough time to see them spawning and take appropriate actions... |
