It will be the player base that will save or destroy this game.
With so much hate on the DEVs, if I was in their place, I'd either troll you, or wipe my hands of you. At times, I only feel a quarter of you actually want a well rounded/ balanced game that skill has a chance, maybe small, to win against higher tiers.
I personally want this 10 year plan. I want to have a rival. I want a challenge. I don't want cheap deaths or to use cheap and what the flavor is. I want the laser rifle to see stardom again. I want challenging AV battles...... But after seeing some of these forum posts, I feel twitch style game play. I would rather have the things I like nerfed because CCP wanted to instead of CCP bowing down to the community.

Bad example but this is what I feel. Or Nerf purple, buff red, Nerf logic, buff idiots.

"Dust" is what this will become if we don't start acting like adults. We idiots should be grateful the DEVs are actually listening to te community. You know, "others/ Brand X" only listens to bugs. Nah. Went from daily SP to weekly.
Oh... Laser is a b*stard of a weapon..... Nerf it to the point no one will ever complain.
We wanted an ACoG sight. We got it.
These guys listen. Now.... If we can criticize constructively. At least complement where due, you are likely to aggravate, if not irritate, even more so, demoralize these guys.
What if your boss, the signer of your pay check, day and day out insulted you, ridiculed, te butt of every part of their jokes. Toyed with even. Would you stay?
I know this is almost like a 3rd party game, but I know these guys we see, day in / day out have their hands in this cookie jar. These guys make peanut on the hour. Lic for the Unreal engine. 3d and sound engineering. Maybe rendering software. On and o I can go. Yes in a way we are paying for development, but they can only push so much because of how often they can update based on limitations of PSN.
Long story short, shut up, stop trolling, stop actin like a spoiled brat. |
