Hello, i have been playing dust since closed beta almost a year ago (thought not with this account), and after playing every role and testing many weapons, i feel that some weapons are not what they should be, i will go and explain in my opinion what weapons should be, first the HMG, currently the HMG is used as a CQC fast firing armor shredding weapon, needless to say that the range is pretty short, the HMG (in my opinion), should be a mid range (close to the assault rifle range), fast firing suppresion weapon, with much les spread that it currently has, and a rate of fire of 1600 RPM, with heavy recoil, a much smaller reticule, with a 400 clip size, and 22 base damage, this would actually enforce CCP vision of the HMG-Heavy as a defense role, by having the range to actually punish enemies and making them run for cover, also it would be a great covering fire weapon as it would suppress enemy infantry, ironically its weak spot would be close range because the much smaller and precise reticule combined with the heavy slow turning rate, moving on to the next weapon, the SMG, well the SMG in every game is that fast firing close combat murderer, except here, i think the SMG should be the weapon with the highest rate of fire on the game, 2000 RPM, with a clip size of 120 bullets, a base damage at lower lvl of 20, with very high spread over range, my idea is that this weapon is that extremely fast firing weapon that murders someone at close range but as you start to get distance the damage is reduced greatly, also the reticule of the smg is very bad, it should be in the same style as the shotgun, a big circle, as this weapon would have high recoil but even so it is devastating close range (exactly like the sonic repeater in transformers FOC, or the Sta 11 on killzone), in early july we will see the range "fix", so many weapons will be golden, maybe the plasma cannon could get changed, i dont have much experience on the weapon so i will not comment on it, moving on on dropsuits, well there is enough to discuss for one year, but i will give it a shot, with the Heavy frame suits, i really believe they need more base health, i would say 500 shield & armor for the Amarr and 3H/3l slots, with the slowest movement speed, the caldari should have 650 shield and 300 armor, with 4H/2L slots, is the second fastest heavy suit, the gallente with 300 shield and 650 armor, 2H/4L, is the second slowest suit, then the minmatar comes with 400 shield & armor with 2H/2L and 1 equipment slot, is the fastest of all heavy suits and has more CPU/PG along with armor auto repair, heavies need to be able to tank more than one enemy infantry at a time so with these health and slots changes could give them fighthing chance, now scouts, i will follow the same racial layout as heavies, something that really bothers me is the gallente proto scout, the advanced has 2H/2L and the proto comes with 1H/4L, i mean that has no sense, i think when cloaks come scout could achieve their true potential as an infiltration and assassination unit, in my opinion gallente scout shoud be 2H/4L and 1 equipment slot, along with CPU/PG buffs, 100 base shield and 150 armor, the caldari scout is the opposite, 150 shield 100 armor (it should have slow shield regeneration), and a layout of 4H/2L and one equipment slot (this would be the perfect shotgun scout, while the gallente would be much more focused on stealth and assassination), the amarr scout should have 150 shield and armor with 3H/3L 1 equipment slot but a slow movement speed compared to other scouts, the minmatar is the fastest of all scouts with 100 shield and armor and 2 equipment slots and 2H/2L, along with the highest CPU/PG of it class, right now the logistics class is overpowered simple by an over abundance of high and low powered slots on those dropsuits, less health than assault class, less movement speed, and less H/L slots would be needed for a balance, i welcome everyones opinion and comments as long as they are respectful of the others, i also apologise as english is not my native language and i surely comited gramathical mistakes so have mercy, please tellme what do you think of this thread, and offer other opinions, CCP will grow as long as we critize them for good or bad. |
