Besides, it's not broken; it's just not fully fleshed out yet. There will be more high level modules and vehicles that will require those higher level skills - they're just not there yet.
Unlike you, some of us had a PC Battle upon Login & were forced out the Gate to Spec in order to be Effective during the Battle. Like I said I could care less b/c I Maxed out my Role w/ SP to spare. That & I don't even play anymore so even less f***s are given. You are a Peonic Scrublet if you believe the End User should be Punished for Terrible Game Design. It affects me not in the slightest, but I can imagine the impact it could have on a Player who doesn't use the Forum & has less SP. SP is already a Grindfest so Devaluing the Investment is utterly disgusting. So Mr. Scrublet, you should Quit sinse you are part of the Problem as to why this "Game" is Failing. Between Irrelevant Wannabee Elitists & CoDboitards we have plenty of "Feedback" to push DUST in the right direction
You want me to believe that you had to rush your SP investment because the Imperfects couldn't field 16 decent and well prepared enough players for a PC battle? Don't make me laugh.
You also mean to say that you didn't play at all between Uprising launching and the ~2 weeks later that PC launched? That's pretty unprepared for a person who was apparently important enough to have to rush skilling up for a PC match.
I actually waited weeks of playing before putting any SP in anything other than core skills because I had the foresight to realise that specialisation skills would need some checking out before spending into because there'd inevitably be things that had been changed a hell of a lot. I was well prepared by the time we had our PC matches the day after it launched.
As for new players, they don't have 8 million SP to invest in one go - we only got that because of our participation in the open beta. With that in mind, you should have known better than to rush investing SP into stuff you hadn't even looked into enough to know that going to level 5 was pointless. Furthermore, I don't think any new players should be punished for bad game design but old players should be punished if they don't take the time to check out changes before spending their SP.
Finally, your investments will once again become un-devalued when the things that are coming for the high level skills you've put SP into become available.
