Core Flaylocks have the fastest TTK on armor suits outside of OHKO's, which are pretty rare. I've quite literally died to them almost before I even knew I was being shot at; by the time the first hit registers the next is almost at you already. But that has as much to do with the (excessive?) damage bonus explosives have against armor as it does with the weapon itself.
Sure 3 rounds can be rough but conveniently enough it doesn't actually have to hit you. It has a quick reload as well.
I've never used them so I won't pretend to have the best understanding of them, but the RPM appears to be kind of high. It's not listed though so I can't actually compare it and the MD's. From the "getting shot at" side of things, it appears to shoot 2 to 3 times faster than the MD. |

Jin Robot wrote: how about the "no more deaths from 4 ar rounds" campaign. Duv Ar will kill you quicker than 1.5 seconds. you should know as you probably use it.
As a completely unrelated side comment, if you were actually dying to 4 AR rounds your suit is laughably bad.

Jin Robot wrote: Nope, the problem is the insane DPS. Look we get it, you like stomping and use the TAC.
I do wonder what the DPS is on a Core Flaylock. Too bad CCP can't be arsed to add in all stats like they said they would.
So I just cherry picked some of the more blatant examples, but we both know you're all over those threads arguing for a TAC nerf.
Now here's a refresher:

So are you a hypocrite, or a liar? |

I ask for both, depending on the relevant situation. They're both necessary options. |

I mean it is kind of the Warhammer 40,000 Bolt Pistol, lobbing little rockets at people, but it just doesn't make a lot of sense. In a game where you have to score (virtually) a direct hit with a vehicle-mounted missile launcher, you have people forgoing the use of the weapon they should be using and just trying to gun people down with their pistol. Contrary to how that might seem from movies and video games where you might think, "he's so skilled!" they are doing it here because they really only need to get marginally close with the pistol, you know, within a few feet. I would have to agree that its current iteration is just not working so well. I am not saying there is something wrong with the Flaylock, I am saying the MD is not good enough. Same deal goes with the Scrambler Rifle and Scrambler Pistol. Pistol>Rifle. Don't nerf the pistols, buff the rifles.
There is something wrong with it, though. I was not exaggerating when I said it has the fastest TTK on armor suits of any weapon in the game, besides a direct Forge Gun hit. On a sidearm...
The Scrambler Pistol isn't better than the rifle. Sure it can be beastly if you string together a couple headshots, but in almost 6 months of playing, that's happened to me exactly once. |
