Parking an LAV on top of a drop uplink too close to a wall will result in a roadkill on anyone spawning in on the uplink.
[*] Possible to slide an Uplink beneath a CRU, allowing players to spawn inside (even if it is under enemy control) and move about freely without being fired upon until they clip through the structure' s model. |

The CRU glitch is the only one that needs to be fixed IMO |

Honestly, I think you should -drop- on the same thing. Otherwise it should be called a Spawn Uplink. Parking a LAV on top it with how visible they are on the minimap is pissy and a ****** reason to lose a Proto suit. |

DropLinks are beacons for a mini-wormhole - when the LAV is parked on the DropLink, the wormhole opens in an unsafe location, casing the appearing/arriving clone to die. This seems perfectly ok. (HTFU?)
As for the LAV, it should prolly take some damage from being partly inside the wormhole, and having a squishy clone inserted into its structure.... |

HTFU only works in situations where the player has an option for defense. Spawning at a drop uplink that is assumed safe only to get a killcam at the end of the timer isnt a good situation to use the acronym, much as spawning in the thick of enemy groups is an issue.
You cant use the terminology in defense of broken game mechanic - only in the case of which the player could have done something to prevent it.
Edit : The visibility of drop uplinks only aids to this issue as anyone can see a drop uplink from the minimap, a flaw in design. |

HTFU is more that you should only spawn on DropLinks you have reason to belive is safe. If a DropLink looks unsafe, or none on your team/squad can confirm it is safe, spawn somewhere else. |

huh? did they change the in-game descriptions of the Drop Uplinks?
The Game wrote:The drops uplink is a slave transponer, a short-range tether that produces the precise spatial coordinates necessary to generate a localized wormhole, traversal of which allows the user to travel short distances instantly. Highly experimental, the process is excruciatingly painful and exposes organic tissue to excessive radiation, resulting in accelerated cellular decay and, ultimately, death. |
