Since we have many resident bacon experts around here, I'm hoping to get a good answer soon...
We are having people over the house Saturday for a brunch get together. I usually make Bloody Mary's and I heard from a buddy that using bacon vodka in one was "the ****".
I've known about bacon vodka for some time, alas, I've never actually tasted any.
Before I got buy a bottle, has anyone here made a bacon vodka bloody? We do stuff like this on occasion, but on Saturday we are having more than the usual number, a few if which I'll need to pretend to like. I need a winning hand steadier to keep me same - could this be it? |

You can make your own bacon vodka, it just takes time. Put 2 whole strips of moderately cooked (not super crispy, still plyable) into your bottle and leave for 1-2 months.
Google drinking made easy, bacon vodka. it was featured on a drinking show not to long ago... |

Use the Absolut "Peppar" Vodka. It's perfect for bloodys. Use bacon instead of celery for stir sticks as well (works best on a skewer). Buy the spicy pickles. My girl and I just did this for our good morning housewarming party a few weeks ago. As far as bacon infused vodka goes, it's fantastic. I don't know of any brands off hand, but I know that if you're ever in Colorado skiing, go to Arapahoe Basin and drink a bacon bloody there. Orgasmic. |

Went with this. Everybody liked it. Nothing like breakfast in a cup that gets you wasted. As a compliment I had the maple crown royal on rocks. Thanks for the recommendation. Amazing how a few cocktails can turn mandatory fun social engagements into actual fun! |
