I just figured I would throw this out there out of curiosity.
A super heavy class would consist of a suit comparable to the original LAV armor. It would have 1K base armor and no shields. He would have to get around via LAV or other mode of transportation. His duty will be to sit at important positions and hold the line. Special technology will enable them to swivel at ease to turning around will not take forever. It will have built in stamina booster to enable them to sprint at a longer distant, even though they will be a lot slower. This is the best option I can think of when it comes down to stamina since they already are pretty slow in general.
They will have an equipment slot to lay down a nano hive or a transportable shield/repper With their super heavy status they should be allowed to carry a Heavy Weapon and a light weapon. They could also have a new weapon as in a super duty heavy weapon as in a larger HMG with larger spool or even a dual forge gun like weapon. Carry two explosive devices or demolition. Demolition would be a safety device laid out at their location in case of being taken down.
I can not think of anything else at the moment. Feel free to add to this if you like.
This will be an alternative to having an LAV or HAV in the area.
This spurs from the lack of attention Heavies have gotten so far from CCP.

I am glad you mentioned this.
It will not replace or make original class pointless.
This class is not meant to travel by foot across terrain.
It is meant to hold locations or provide cover. |

That's a Heavy's job. You must be new. Welcome to New Eden

That is if they ever fix the Heavy. I don't want a smaller heavy class. I want bigger and more brute. I can imagine 2-3 super heavy class players filling up a pathway just holding it down. Only thing that doesn't make it so gangsta is that they wont be holding their heavy weapons sideways.

Fix The Heavies. This Suggestion, just like the Countless other suggestions Like it Basically, in its core, says " I want a Super Heavy Class so I can go into God Mode" What you Suggested is basically a wimpy MTAC, which I believe Might be coming out in July or August. God Mode Ruins Games. That is what caused the Heavy to become the Pathetic wimps they are now. AR Users/Assault Suit users Whined that the Heavies Made it too hard to be assaults. With this, Heavies will complain it is too hard to be Heavies, wimpifieing Both classes, Making this game Medium Frame 514
If your "Brillient Idea" is put in, it will be the MTAC, which has a Vehicles price Tag to go with the "Demigod Mode" That it Provides. |

i just made a new character to go back to a heavy only 900ksp and i have no problems what so ever, the buff to the hmg was very nice and i can easily stand my ground in militia gear, always coming top or top 3 of the scoreboard, heavies are balanced and if you cant do well with them then you dont know what to do |

I'm glad there's someone out there that's brainstorming, but the idea is just a bit idiotic.
SPEED is not a viable downside. Even normal Heavies can exploit one of their only weaknesses by getting in car and only getting out to kill people.
Other than that, the 'Super Heavy' has everything turned up to 110% Effectiveness. 2 Grenade slots? I'm all about having a class with more Grenade Slots (Grenadier suit, FTW...), but if they even DO make one of those, they'd make it a Medium Suit and fairly weak (Although in past builds, balancing has been a huge issue, as we know...).
As said before, it'd also take away any reason of being a normal Heavy. They fill the same role, but one has more over-all offensive slots than the other. It's like when people turn Logistics Suits into the God-Assault suit. A Heavy has never been known to carry Equipment. It's a speed burden that the Logistics has to carry. Also, a Light Weapon AND a Heavy Weapon? What's to stop the Duvolle Assault Rifle from being a new SMG?
And More powerful weapons... I think, even if they (for some reason) decide to make a 'Super Heavy', they should give it weak weapons that give a high burden to turning speed. Make it more of a DEFENSIVE Heavy, rather than the current OFFENSIVE Heavy.
Here's my idea, just modifying a couple of your things.
The overall slot count for a proto-Super Heavy would go like this:
4 Lows 5 Highs 1 [WIP Weak Heavy Weapon Name] 0 Equipment 1 Grenade (As to not take out the potential of an actual Grenadier suit class...)
This will give it more of a defensive stature, instead of the potential to be the 'Flavor of The Month'. Turn Speed/Movement Speed would be decreased to at least 1.00 slower than the heavy, so it would be discouraged from actually moving from point A to point B. It'd be unable to enter vehicles without decreasing the overall speed of the vehicle (Even a Scout LAV would be somewhat slow) because of the size of the suit. This will encourage it to stay at points and just murder anything walking towards it, although it will still have a weaker weapon (Working on new weapon type name...).
Of course, it'd still have stellar AV capabilities, able to withstand being hit by a car (Although health would drop quite a lot...). I'd also say that the creators of the suit would be smart enough to give it a bit of extra stamina (Not to much!), so if it thinks it can make it to Objective C in time, it can certainly try.
NEVER give something 0 Shield. Shield is lifeblood, once it gets down to it. Someone could just take a measly MD to this guy and kill him within a clip of rounds. I say it should vary between races. The Gallente would have maybe about 400 Shield, 600 Armor, exact opposite with Caldari, Amarrian would be balanced (500 each), and the Minmatar would favor shield, but not quite as much.
Well, I'm starting to lose focus (As I do sometimes...), so I'll get back to this. Ghost, away! :D |

Sorry, but I'm a heavy by trade, and I think this is a bad idea.
All CCP needs to do is give heavies another high slot, a minor base HP buff (75 shield 75 armor), and faster spin up on HMG. |

Sorry, but MTAC is mentioned a lot. What exactly is this? All I got was something about a holster, which means nothing to me, currently... :P
Master, why does the HMG need a faster Spin-Up time? I don't really notice that sort of thing, but the shooting starts almost instantly for me. |

Its a Mech. A Walking Weapons Platform. Imagine, The MAX Suit from Planetside 2. Now Make it stand Twice your Height, and 3 Times you EHP. Oh, yeah with Miniguns and Rocket Launchers For Hands. That, Sir, is an MTAC. Total Badassery. |

But now looking back, yea. What OP mentioned is kinda a MTAC.
EDIT: Would you say it's like the Hardsuit from Blacklight: Retribution? That's probably not as big, has much more than triple eHP than infantry, and has a Railgun instead of a Rocket Launcher. |

so... according to you we should just let the assaulters continue to complain about everything that kills them and continue to nerf everything until this becomes COD 514 |

Master, why does the HMG need a faster Spin-Up time? I don't really notice that sort of thing, but the shooting starts almost instantly for me. It needs faster spin up because when aiming down sights the longer you fire the more accurate you get to a certain point (peak accuracy). This is what "spin up" is. This is why the cone gets smaller the longer you hold the trigger when ADS. The problem is it takes about 1/4 clip to reach peak accuracy. By this time our shield and 1/3 of armor is shredded by pretty much any AR and our HMG only just starting to do damage at our "optimal" range. |

I can agree about the MTAC. I have not looked up threads regarding the heavy class but later on tonight I will. Having something to enhance the mobility in small areas would be greatly helpful and improve the performance. Currently the heavy is just a block that slides along the ground with nothing to reduce resistance and when turning.
Also for my original post. I can attest to my cause. Walking into a group of 2-3 reds and getting taken out in seconds. AR's and another time being blown to bits by one single grenade. We should have something there for just that. I dont care if you nerf the HMG more just give us something to hold out ground longer.
also, wtf are these burst HMG? worthless now with the new changes made to hmg. |
