You have started a revolution in online gaming CCP. Never before have consoles and PC/Mac been able to play in one persistent Virtual Universe. This must have been some programming nightmare.
You have started something wonderful with DUST 514, and I hope to see it succeed.
While you are lacking in some respects you have excelled in many others. I will be in this game for the long haul, which is why I care about it so much, and I'm sure my posts reflect that (when I'm not trolling).
We know you have a lot of work to do, and though we ***** and moan quite often we are (mostly) all with you at least 75%
Thank you for giving us all this soonTM to be spectacular F2P MMO FPS.

CCP, I congratulate you on your ability to absorb ever-increasing amounts of abuse and verbal punishment from your customers and fans. You guys have a granite jaw like no other company I know.
If my suspicions are right, we will likely spend the next 6 to 12 months hearing about how DUST sucks, DUST is dead, nobody plays DUST any more, while you make gradual community-informed improvements.
Then we will read an IGN review about how a writer dusted off his DUST character, and now suddenly this game is worth playing.

Despite the problems with your game and all of your questionable decisions, I think you have done very well for a first try at a completely new genre of game than you're accustomed to making. I look forward to the future of this game more than any other new game on the horizon.

It is mildly amusing how routinely this game hard-locks, requiring a system reboot to play Battlefield 1943. So thanks for the gentle, bemused smile on my lips as I play a vastly superior $15 game from 4 years ago. |
