Can anyone confirm that the Vehicle Shield Recharging skill buffs your Vehicle shield and not your dropsuit shield? I know it would be an odd place to increase your dropsuit shields, but I just want to make sure since it has an odd wording for the bonus description. Also the skill Shield Boost Systems would buff the same stat, at a higher rate, which would seem to be an oversight to duplicate the same stat.

Vehicle Shield Recharging:
"+1% Shield recharge rate per level."
Shield Boost Systems:

I can confirm that both skills work on vehicles. They shouldn't affect dropsuits at all but i haven't done the calculations on that.
Sica/Gunnlogi standard shield recharge is 22hp per second before skills are applied.
With both vehicle skills at Level 4 my Sica gets 25.63hp/s.
The calculations i did gave 25.52 if the bonuses don't stack or 25.77 if they do.
Stacked 22 hp/s x 1.03 x 1.03 x 1.03 x 1.03 x 1.01 x 1.01 x 1.01 x 1.01 = 25.77
Not stacked 22 hp/s x 1.16 = 25.52
Neither of those numbers match exactly but they are pretty close. I assume the discrepancy is due to rounding applied in the server side calculation.
I doubt that both skills giving the same bonus is an oversight.
Due to the poor rate of vehicle shield recharge, both skills combined at level 5 still doesn't give much of a bonus. I have dropsuits that repair shields faster than 25hp/s.
To put it in perspective, if you have a Gunnlogi with 5000 shields it would take 3- 4 mins to fully recharge with just the passive recharge rate. That's a long time out of the battle and whilst the bonus is not entirely useless, we wont be seeing Eve-like passive shield tanking even with full skills and proto recharger mods.
TLDR: Yes they both work.

Good to know they work at least.
I only have shield boost systems at 3 and 0 vehicl shueld recharging because any more SP into either skill is a waste of my SP. |
