I take it you haven't been following the next gen MMOFPS games that are coming out?
Of course this game won't vanish, it just won't be taken seriously by anyone in the FPS community, let alone the professional and competitive scenes that really pull in the $$$

So what do you in EVE, shoot reds all day?
A VR room would merely let you test out the equipment and different builds before you invested SP into a build that might not work as intended, or might not be as fun as you initially thought.
After all, you're stuck with your decision. You don't get to pick up a different weapon, or spawn in a new loadout, unless you've gone through the grind to make that one of your options. Of course you can go omni and be "versatile", but you'll be laughed at by anyone with a reasonable build in game.
This game either needs occasional respecs, a way to test builds before building them, or actual MMO aspects that don't involve player A shooting player B all day every day in the same two game modes plus their variations. |
