Now I have played dust 514 for 2 months and i actually found where you got the idea for dust 514 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4j_t_HfLSBs
honestly CCP should fire every single person who is on the development team for spending 3 years to develop this game and hire the people who made section 8 prejudice game in 18 months for 3 platforms
I know this is extreme but I feel like the idea of dust 514 can have a the same impact as games like doom or halo. the problem is the game is very buggy and has a lack of options it is basically like like battlefield or call of duty. you should reskin section 8 prejudice and make it dust there are a couple of things you would have to make in order for it to work but right now that is a better game and it came out 2 years ago. |

Section 8 was a great premise that was horribly executed. At least DUST 514 has time to expand and grow, given its not tied to a game disc and will be heavily updated quarterly. |

I agree, although I never played the game after doing some research on it it was a big flop but it had really fresh creative ideas that I CAN see similarities between that game and this one. But yeah as was said above, atleast DUST has the potential to evolve. Only question is: how long will it take for the game to be where it was "envisioned" to be? It need to become more solid and enjoyable sooner rather than much later |

The games progress feels exponentially slow because it has been. This is CCP's first shooter, they're breaking a bit of ground in the video game department with its concept, and the team working on the game is fairly small.
The game feels a long way from finished but I'd say by this time next year we'll be looking back at Uprising and chuckling a little to ourselves. |

Unfortunately this time next year a lot of the fanbase behind this game will most definitely drop due to the next gen consoles and the amazing games coming out. Once again, they need to fix the problems sooner rather than later. |

Section 8 was awesome . I thunk what really killed the game was the bots as tgey were too smart for most shooter fans to play against anything above easy mode took reall fps skill . Defo wasent a game for the cod boys. |

imagine when Destiny, BF4, COD ghost, and whatever else is going to come out this year. what do you think happens to at least half of the people playing dust. All i was saying was right now if they reskinned Section 8 prejudice right now it would take like 2 months and be a better game than dust is right now |

I played the demo for section 8 for about 5 minutes because that's all the time I had but I found that game was extremely fun. watching that video, there are many things that are very similar to dust and things that I would like to see .
-calling in vehicles, the outline that is in S8 would be nice to have: make calling in vehicles a safer task, that way you know exactly where they are going to land. and be able to better plan who's vehicle is going to land where
-shows jet packs can work in this game: (not a huge supporter) but it does show it is possible. maybe make it so swarms can lock onto those who are using a jetpack, since they would be giving off a heat signature.
-when dropping in give us the same flight control mechanics. and same 3rd person view and transition.
-Hey look MECHS
-not sure if they have it in the lore, but maybe tanks that use an anti-grav hovering system. like the one in the video. could be fast, low armor, heavy shields.
-the aiming mechanics and how the player moves/feels.

Technicaly section8 didnt have mecks that was their hevies pretty much. Thats what a reall heavy should be. |

thank you. Section 8 was horribly imbalanced (the similarities are striking, aren't they?). It was fun, but just not "good"
That aside, I have pushed for some S8 related mechanics previously. While I'm not a big fan of, say, hovering tanks, I was a HUGE fan of S8's drop system, and have a thread requesting a closer implementation of that system.
I would love to be able to designate where my vehicle lands with accuracy as opposed to hoping the RDV drops it in a spot that isn't completely stupid, like on a platform I can't possibly get it off of.
Jet packs are okay but there are other things to worry about for now. Same with thing with "mechs"
And oh god does DUST need help with aiming. It's either stupidly fast hip fire or stupidly slow ADS. There is no fluidity. |

Section 8 prejudice has supposedly fixed alot of the issues that were wrong with the original (I never played the Original Section 8). in comparison to dust it is a little easier to play. Dust 514 has better graphics, and dropsuit customization which leads to better survivabilty howver section 8 prejudice has better guns and more customization to the guns. The DCM or Dynamic combat missions make it feel like it you are doing something different every single battle not to mention without any dlc there are 3 different planets that affect your dropsuit differentIy (currently on dust we are fighting on the same planet over and over). I personally would love to see CCP flatout hire the developers for this game and reskin it to fit in the dust lore. Since I downloaded and played this game for the last 2 days I been sitting here playing it like why couldn't dust be more like this. Even with its outdated graphics. |
