Firstly, core game play bugs need to be fixed.
1. Terrain glitches, running into invisible walls is beyond irritating. Any time you go on hilly terrain you get stuck, tanks blow themselves up, people are getting angry to leave the game I think. 2. Aiming needs to be fixed, people are not lying to you. 3. PC frame rate issues, it looks like both lag and frame rate issues are happening. When you play pubs for a long time you eventually get frame rate issues on the maps that have a lot buildings. It what was happening in the old builds with large 5 point maps that were removed for fixing.
Ok, once you have fixed your core game play , you will be well on your way.
Now if you want to balance you game, do this.
Unlimited respect's for everyone until the game is balanced. (Should be done after your add the bulk of stuff you want in the game).
Everyone will flock to the "Flavour of the Month" and you can balance it, then they will continue to do the same thing, until you game is balanced, hurray.
That is my 2 cents! Good luck. I'm truly rooting for this game to be a great success. It has great potential, I hope it achieves that potential.

No. This part won't work in a game like Dust. Dust will be constantly evolving. There will never be a time when the bulk of stuff is done. In the case of Dust, you need to be smart about your SP decisions as things may change. Keep some in reserve, diversify. It isn't that hard. Eve players have been doing it for years.
It's kinda like real life because there's no rewind, even though lots of stuff changes. Consider it a life lesson, and keep a little in reserve. |

It would work early on in a game that has had trouble balancing. This would be for a limited time. |

No, it most definitely wouldn't. People would grow to expect it, then it would become inevitable. |
