Multiple players in my corporation have noted constant PSN disconnects.
ONLY when playing DUST 514.
I can play ANY other game online on my PS3, and have no such Disconnects.
DUST 514, however, is disconnecting me every 5-10 minutes.
We had a PC battle tonight, and half our team wasn't able to maintain a connection. Meaning, we couldn't even put up a half decent fight... let alone even attempt to keep a tactic in place.

i do agree on this i dunno if its because you have made the connection from an order like this
Ps3 = local internet = ps network = tranquility -
the connectivity is a massive issue in this game and needs to be addressed personally i belive before you even bother ever putting in the pilot and commando suits that **** can get thrown in the bin because it means d!ck if no one can connect for a longer period to use the suits.
ps this relates to lag frame rate THE SERIOUS ISSUES THIS GAME HAS BEFORE THE BALANCING OF THE WEAPONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
why should we have to reset the ps3 before a game to reset our memory on our ps3 shouldn't that SH!T been sorted before you even released the closed beta. that's programming 1o1 **** when i finished my first mobile phone app for android the publisher i used wouldn't even speak to me if it wasn't working and you are sending a broken laggy game out interesting concept there but i suppose thats your call you have a half working to potential game with 100000000000000000x possibility's to be amazing and you are heading the wrong way with over nerfing guns and what not and ignoring major networking issues not programming but NETWORKING!
but what would i no i'm just a nobody in the pool of your 3000 regular dropping player base lol ( wonder why alot of decent players are leaving not the nerfing or OP weapons just might be the lagg and frame rate issues you seem to be ignoring )
at the very least mention you are looking into it or some thing

With all the hackers in EvE .... i'm actually surprise that we can play at all. I wonder how long is going to take for Sony to say, that Dust 514 have to drop the Tranquility server, or loose the PS3 exclusivity. |

I'm pretty sure that CCP is training its crew for proper transparant communication like they promised. Imagine the quick responses instead of a month of threads about the same topic.
Are you guys able to reconnect to PSN when you get this disconnect? I need to restart, something that I don't need to do on other occassions of a rare disconnect as far as my memory goes.

The error message has nothing to do with PSN, its misleading (at least the one I experienced last couple days).
You get the Dust514 message for being disconnected from PSN, but on top right you never get a message from PS3 for being disconnected from PSN and on my other PS3's friends list I never go offline. Then you get returned to Dust514 connection screen (where you press OK) and your back on within a minute.
The error message says Disconnect from PSN, but in reality its Dust514 issue.. |

Most of the time it's like what you say, though I have been completely disconnected from PSnetwork and have to relog.

Thankfully I haven't had this during a PC match yet but it does happen for me every now and again. |

I have to sign back into the PSN, so I do get DCed from the PSN.

You're wrong, otherwise my PS3 wouldn't ask for my email and password to log into PSN. And then reject it / load forever until I restart. |

Add to this the fact half of your team could not connect at the same time for PC battle... Isn't it coincidental? DUST apparently attracts some attention from hackers. Remember weekend-long DDoS incident occurring not so long ago? Who have you been fighting with on that occasion? Chances are a third party interferred to put the blame on your opponents

CCP Galaxy wrote:We have several different messages for disconnection, for example: You have been disconnected. The server is currently not available. You have been disconnected for being inactive for too long. But this one "You have been signed out of PlayStation-«Network." is actually toggled by PSN, our game is just get the notification from PSN and display the message. It's probably because PSN is not quite stable. If you're using wireless network, switching it to wired may help.
Thanks for you feedback.
They said it was the PSN, i do not believe, all of us will not have the same problem if it's the PSN. How many of you have deleted and re- downloaded the game after uprising? I do not, can this be a problem? |

It's the PSN, but for some reason, DUST 514 is doing something to our connections to it.
If I were a paranoid man, the fact that it happens most often when we're about to face against Nyain San... but I'm not. If it does happened to be caused by third party interference, I will have to renege my former opinion that this game is best on PS3 with the cross-platform interaction.
If there's a security issue with the PSN, the connection routed through the PSN should be removed in some way. If that means removing from the PS3 Platform, then so be it. |

Nyain San sounds Asian... hmm... could it be possibly an issue with your connection to battle server for Asia then and not "hackers"? I mean the part of your team which is close to it goes "fine" and the rest have some issue with it... |

Apart from the fact we're Australian which is close to Asia. And we play against other Asian corps. |

And we play against other Asian corps. DUST has to synchronize with central server - Tranquility which is placed in London(?). And all the DUST battle servers scattered around the world must synchronize with it as well ...and with PSN. Lots of spaghetti to tangle and snap... I wanted to say the further from Tranquility (network-wise) a battle server is the more connection problems occur. This is just my speculation and I accept that i could be wrong on this... I wonder what would happen if all DUST clients switched to Serenity in China? Would Asian players feel improvements while US/EU players would see a decrease? |
