Ok so we all know a true logi is not gonna have a good kid ratio so I would like to throw this out there can there be a section on the leader boards for avg wp per match or life as this well give logis a good chance to make top of the leader board I am a heavy so this would not affect me much but every heavy relies on a good logi and most the real good ones I know don't get much kills cause there always healing and picking others up just a idea another thing would be great if logis scored points for repairing vehicles and installations

I live and breath for healing and supplying others! I run with protologi suit and get -ISK every time. There shoud be somekind of bonus for using logisuit as it shoud use, not only shield-/armortank assaulting. |

Chances are that those logis are not interested in these vain things but rather have the RT, NI,... fixed. |

Do you mean NI can't find a rev point? That is bad thing if friend has been overrun whit LAV or blasted away with something so there is a different place where the corpse is and the rev point is.

Indeed. My logi sprints at a 9.6 speed and I am the first one dropping proto links near objectives..I manage to get in the top 3-4 spots of every pc match as a logi..but I should still manage a 2.0 kdr in those matches if i'm worth my salt. And you're overall kdr? look I can go into pubs with a standard suit and a gek and average a 4 kdr. |

Being a logi is an invalid excuse for a bad KDR.
If you don't get enough kills then die less. Carefully choose who to rep or revive instead of mindlessly running around sticking everyone.
If you want to babysit Heavies with your rep-tool that's your choice. But instead you could also use triage nanohives which rep your whole team AND shoot people yourself.
Also the ratio leaderboards are absolutely useless anyway. But since you get a lot of WP as a logi it should be fairly easy to get on the WP leaderboard. |

Obviously you're not a logi or you're just trying to be one. In Pubs, yes you can go positive most of the times surely, but thats about it, in pubstomping. |

Valid point, but since the shoot&gun mechanic in Dust is "underwhelming" id rather don't use a gun at all and help on the strategical side, which seems to have a larger impact most of the time, compared to get a few lucky kills. I also personally have the problem, that since i'm Logi and not a Beta veteran i have very limited skill-points, so i cant even reach the legendary TAC or breach AR. Thats ofc because i did prioritize equipment over guns&tank.
Sure "baby-siting" heavy's is a matter of choice, but from my own experience its much more effective than trying to shoot stuff yourself. Mainly because to shoot stuff u need to get out of cover and for some strange reason, that has nothing to-do with the color of my logi suite, i'm always primary targeted :p
I kinda like, playing pure defensive logi and if i could, would not even equip a gun, since thats useless for my style of play. If i ever reach the TAC, than ofc i will try to shoot stuff, but before that every gun i tested in the game sucks, since i cant stand the whacky aim mechanic, combined with pure iron-sights. I personally need at least a AGOC or some kind of usefull midrange zoom scope.
As a side-note, while nanohives are usefully for narrow static fights, most of the time the fight constantly shifts, which makes nanohives less usefully, since u have limited supply. |

I've been playing a Logi ever since closed beta. I went through it all, used every equipment there is. I was part of D-UNIs first Logi department.
I've been in numerous corp battles and of course those are absolutely different from pubgames. But we ARE talking about pubgames, because this is about having a separate leaderboard for Logis.
I never use proto gear in pubmatches, I even try to avoid using ADV stuff if I see that the enemy team mostly consists of MLT or STD guys. I'm helping my team by supporting them with supplies AND kills. And if you can't even maintain a positive KDR in pubmatches then what makes you think you are even close to being qualified for corp battles?! Just because you are going the easy road of WP farming doesn't make you a good player.
And I've had enough of those arguments Logis with ****** gun game bring up every time.
"It is not my job to kill people.", "If you are getting so many kills and are not using X equipment all the time and stick to Heavies then you are doing Logis wrong!" blah blah blah.
This is just BS. You can (and in my opinion you also have to) be both, an exceptional supporter and a decent killer.
Using the "It is not my job to kill people."-argument is just a cheap excuse for the inability, or worse, the unwillingness to improve one's gun game.
But whatever, this is DUST514, and you can do whatever you want. If you want to snipe using a Heavy suit just go ahead and do it. But don't expect CCP to add a leaderboard just for you because you can't get into the current ones with the playstyle you've chosen. |

Running around with a rep tool out 24/7 against good teams isn't going to end well, especially when the dude you are repping is outgunned. It'll just lead to both of your deaths. And the broken nanite injector is a wasted equipment slot.
I used to be a badass traditional logi, perhaps someday they'll swing the role back in that direction. Against good teams you have to figure out a way to support while contributing with your gun. The medic role isn't what it used to be. |

First Fix:
Nanite Injectors
- That only work probably 40-50% of the time.
- You have to trace back the downed players movements to pick him up sometimes, and sometimes this can be a few meters from the body.
Repair Tool:
- That you have to sometimes try 2 or 3 times to lock onto object or players.
^Both these leave the Logistics player vulnerable.
Nanohives:
- That disappear if thrown too close to walls or steps or difference in levels of the floor.
Drop Uplinks:
- That fall "under" the playing field. which sometimes renders them useless.
Now if you are playing a true Logi game, then you are playing it because you enjoy that support style game. Not that worried about WP or KDR, although they are good to have and many do if playing correctly.
When in actual fact the only thing that matters in the game is SP & ISK. which again is linked to WP.
Now Logi's used to get points for repairing installations, but CCP found that this was one way of farming WP if you had someone else continually doing damage to it. (anyone remember the campers who used to take their vehicles down the back of the map just to damage and repair them for WP).
Now that you don't get points for repairing installations, how many of you have sat at a Supply Depot for a couple of minutes repairing it from that Red Dot in the turret installation trying to destroy it, until your team destroys the turret, so that your team can maintain a tactical advantage. OR... how many have sat behind repairing a blaster or rail gun installation so that the guy manning it can take out that pesky tank. OR... sitting behind a tank to assist in armour repairs. None of these give you WP, but does help for the win.
And in the end, its the Teamplay and WIN that count. And account for the most FUN. |

Was full support logi till the Op respec... had a 5.2 kd
