I currently use a Basic Caldari dropsuit C/1 series with 2 complex damage mods, a complex shield extender, a basic armor repairer, a basic thing that gives me more CPU, a basic locus grenade, and a basic assault rifle with a sidearm as a TTA assault scrambler pistol. Need help on what to improve. This is just my basic suit running as an assault. I use another suit for support, but it just uses better shields, less damage, and a basic nanohive. |

Complex variant of your least effective favorite module(s). Armor Repper. Kinetic Catalyzers are worth the investment.

I would say get into your weapon proficiency, so you can lose a damage mod or two. I don't use any, and stack complex shield extenders on my high slots.
In general, I think a cpu or pg upgrade is a waste of a slot. Work on the core upgrades as well, get your CPU and PG to at least lvl 4. Unfortunately they made these two "core" skills ridiculously expensive. I maxed mine at respec and I think between the two its 3.0 mil SP!
TL, DR I think the dual complex dam mods are overkill on a militia gun. On a standard suit I might fit one enhanced dam mod, then shield extend the rest. That should open your low slot to use another repper or regulator. My .02 isk |

Spend skill points in shields, armor and ar. I run medic assault for a low isk cost fit.
I get more kills than deaths and I lol when someone sends me mail that they cost me isk with an orbital.
Caveat:
You are going to go 6 and 1 or 10 and 4 or 17 and 12 most times(starter fits) since if you want to go 17 and 2 then you need to burn that isk on proto fits. |

Your paper thin suit literally will not have time to react when I shoot you in the head.
Drop a comp dmg mod and upgrade to GEK. You only lose ~3% damage. Now switch your cpu for a basic plate or second rep or kin cat or whatever floats your boat and add whatever high slot shield mod you can fit (enh/pro extender).
... would be better. |

How to end that build.

Anti Shield build complete.

MLT heavy frame MLT forge gun MLT heavy damage mod MLT armor plates AV or flux grenades.
Switch the forge and heavy damage mods for an AR and light damage mods. The first Heavy armor you spec into has over 800 hp stock.

Advanced suit with advanced weapon. Most important things, then fill in the gaps however you like (or can). The cost gap between advanced and proto suits and weapons is huge but for modules isn't too bad. Advanced weapons are actually cheap enough that you might even save isk over using a standard weapon with your 2 damage mods. |

1. I'd never use a suit without using all the equipment slots.
2. Damage mods are for noobs.
3. A better gun (gek) and better nades (M1 locus or flux)
4. I probably would fit 3 shield extenders and a shield regulator, if possible...
5. I personally would prefer an SMG to a pistol as a sidearm.....
But I'm just a scrub, what do I know...? |

What a joke. And Im not leveling weapons to 5 because im investing for a logibro suit to use. |

... would be better. I do have a GEK. But it has too much CPU and I want a cheap suit. I have plenty of expensive ones. But im looking for a suit I can use when I don/t wanna lose money if the other team is full of protos. |

Seems to me you are wasting your time with the armor repper on a Caldari suit with no plates. Your armor is what 90 or so? If you are into armor you are pretty much dead, why bother with the repper? I think you would be better off ditching it for a shield regulator or as someone else suggested a kin cat |

Core upgrades is 1% per level the electronics and engineering unless they have been changed since I checked are 5% per level so maxxed that is an extra 30% ish depending on how they stack.
That is important for everyone but a necessity if like you said you wish to be a logibro. |
