It actually gets to a point where the frame rate crawls to a near stand still?
I've done my share of all day gaming and in all the years I've had my ps3, hell even going back to my ps2 that stayed on for even longer at a time, I've NEVER seen a game get to the point where i needed to restart for it to be playable again. Even having played Skyrim on the ps3 lag never got this bad.
Don't most professionally developed games have something in place to prevent this kind of thing? |

I've never encountered this problem
Then again, the longest I've ever played in one go was 7 hours, not all day. |

Don't most professionally developed games have something in place to prevent this kind of thing? Dust 514 was never really intended for the U3 engine. If they can get Carbon to work on PS4, the majority of these issues will go away. |

Happens with Oblivion, too many instances loaded into the game world or some tripe like that, pretty sure Skyrim had this issue too. |

There are other ps3 games which have have had memory leak's it's just that the developers fixed them before they became a big problem.. |

This is a probable memory leak which is on CCPs end. Apparently you never played Skyrim before they patched it, it was literally impossible to actually finish the main quest.
It's something I've grown used to, every few games I know I better restart or I'll face the lag monster. Weird though that it happens to some peeps at the same time while others are unaffected. |

For some reason when I played skyrim (bought it on launch day) I didn't have very many issues. I guess I was lucky. |

I'm using the slim and have virtually no issues after extended play, but I have friends that have the older, backwards compatible models and they usually have issues after 3-5 hours of extended play. I think it's the most stable on Steam unless you go crazy with the mods. |
