As it is, DUST is running at almost max of the PS3's 512 MB, and it's not looking like that cuz the game isn't optimized fully yet. Frame rate is still a huge problem and until CCP fixes that, they won't raise the player count cuz that uses more RAM.
If DUST reaches on PS4 then yea.
CCP isn't experienced in making a FPS and they chose arguably the most complicated system to work with... the PS3.
Not a good combo.
i dont know all the specifics, but didnt MAG have like 256 player caps in single battles? i find this argument hard to accept after 2-3 years now WITH MAG devs supposedly having a hand in this...
INDUSTRY, ECONOMY, MEANINGFUL EVE-DUST connection, MCC Commander, DRONES, all of this great content that was dangled in front of us, the carrot on the stick that has not been delivered... now E3 press releases for what? 6 people?(he said something about 6 people for EVR which was enough for the gathering...) without even a heads up to the ACTUAL player base... thousands of players get to hear second to 6 people at what felt like a rushed E3 presentation... i find this as a slap in the face... i can understand some content being held confidential in preperation for MAJOR presentations(FANFEST for example), but a SMALL history lesson + devblog content for people who sounded like they WERENT actual players... and if they WERE players, the history lesson probably wasnt necessary for ANYBODY who watched the fanfest feeds... the only REAL content delivered was the pending patch goals that nobody has told us ANYTHING about...
are you kidding me here? not to mention the other complaints about gathering feedback to give arbitrary and unrelated 'fixes' ... FREE clown cars that are stronger than REAL asset AV grenades... they need to get those bloody hover bikes released as free militia gear so they can banish clown cars to the realm of those who ACTUALLY invest in them... while still providing cheap transportation across the battlefield for heavies |
