I'm also wondering if they're going to follow the PI manufacturing approach. Raw resources would be harvested and refined into more and more advanced materials and components to be shipped off-planet to be combined in factories in EVE for final products.
Most likely a simplified version of this that can be executed on the console. |

You aren't everyone. I make most of my ISK that way.
Hopefully, like Eve, Dust has lots of opportunities for people with different concepts of fun. |

I assume gear will be the most common form of enticement.
I'm not sure I understand what you mean. It's my understanding that both games would be able to, in a pinch, stand on their own. I've never seen a dev statement claiming that Dust was to be an Isk sink for Eve.
Also, what do you mean by gear? Dusties will not be manufacturing gear to be used in Eve. Probably ever. |

Calm down Shlomo, you misread. I make a ton from PI, but that does not mean setting up the colony is fun. The UI interface for PI needs some work.
It was a calm disagreement of what you wrote. I'm not sure what made you think it wasn't calm. Or to throw an insult, I guess? |

I'm not sure what made you think it wasn't calm. Or to throw an insult, I guess? My apologies, I meant that more as a salute from one of EVE's sons of Abraham to another. Edit: And yeah, port out the interface that is so simple a DS controller can set up a colony. Too many clicks.
I agree that PI involves a lot of useless clicking as it stands now. Still, it's a useful, if clunky, addition to Eve. That's kinda what I meant. Hopefully we have useful, though less clunky, additions to Dust. |
