It depends on what resources are needed to produce them. I have to assume they will introduce new materials into New Eden to produce Dust-specific items. Hopefully, those materials will be harvested Dust-side and manufactured EVE-side.

I'm also wondering if they're going to follow the PI manufacturing approach.
Raw resources would be harvested and refined into more and more advanced materials and components to be shipped off-planet to be combined in factories in EVE for final products. |

Expect many EVE players to produce items. Many items in EVE actually destroy value as they're produced because, surprisingly for a game that loves spreadsheets, many players apparently don't know how to actually read one. Some people just like to manufacture. |

Most likely a simplified version of this that can be executed on the console.
Hopefully they port that out to EVE...
I despise setting up PI colonies. |

Hopefully, like Eve, Dust has lots of opportunities for people with different concepts of fun.
Calm down Shlomo, you misread. I make a ton from PI, but that does not mean setting up the colony is fun. The UI interface for PI needs some work. |

My apologies, I meant that more as a salute from one of EVE's sons of Abraham to another.
Edit: And yeah, port out the interface that is so simple a DS controller can set up a colony. Too many clicks. |
