The malitia assault rifle is way too powerful, with out damage mods , why does it kill my proto suit with complex faster than a duvolle assault rifle. It's total BS for all that i might a well just not skill into anything. Total bull ccp , fi]gure that **** out man.I'm so angry |

You might have a point though. I've been getting my ass kicked as a Heavy, by anybody with any Assault Rifle. Their range has been increased and their fire rate seems higher too. I'm not too sure about the damage though. Makes rocking my Heavy impossible in any other role but defence. We've got new weapons coming to us in the next update, hopefully this issue gets balanced then.

LOL, well if your proto suit actually has core skills built up, then you will survive from it. For instance, if you have a proto suit, that has maybe less the 300 hp for shield or armor, your out of luck...
Build your core skills up. A proto suit can be as garbage as a militia suit... Only thing good about proto suit is you get more slots and it looks good... Build core skills up, then come cry on forums... And maybe you can cry on our shoulders

havent even seen the malitia assault rifle, is it an officers weapon? I think ive seen the militer assault rifle and that thing is perfectly balanced, though i have heard a legend about the melesha assault rifle doing 50 dmg at 1200rpm but don tworry its only a legend. |

Nah that is the Maltese AR but they were liquidated to pay for bank debts.
To the OP maybe you wre facing one of the poor (recent negative Isk) players with high SP and really good at headshoting people. |

I used to feel bad for heavies. But then I started using one with scrambler rifle and pistol and stacked kincat mods. I ahve 1k+ ehp and just destroy assaults. Its so much fun to line up scrambler headshots on fools, and having enough eHP to be able to do so calmly.
Heavies themselves have a role outside of defense. eHP stacked heavies using HMG might not, but thats not the suit, thats a specific build. |

I say your complaint is overpowered OP. Any proto getting owned by a singular militia assault rifle is a sucker by definition. Getting owned by hordes of militia assault rifles, okay, that makes better sense at least.
Besides, just because it's proto, does not imply that it automatically makes it impervious to militia grade hurt. |

Probably not for the Heavies...it is common knowledge CCP hates Heavies.

Fact is just cause you are running proto suit doesnt mean ****. Proto suit has everything same as a basic med frame with the exception to the slots and the pg cpu. Need to have proto mods either weapon or suit and upgraded all your core skills to see any difference. Regards Erik |

the militia AR and Militia locus grenades are noob friendlied up, it's been that way forever and it seems random. I often toss a militia locus grenade nowhere near someone only to have them die around a corner somewhere.
You will also often find yourself and others randomly exclaiming - "OH GOD WHAT JUST... Militia Assault rifle..." |

yeah first off never put yourself in that situation, ever...next when you do it anyway take cover.
If there is no cover to be taken then you need to take a long hard look at yourself and answer this simple question: "Why the **** am i in the middle of nowhere as a heavy?" |

I've been using an Exile with 0 SP into ARs and it never kicks like it used to until you get down to 9/10 of a clip. I bet the GEK doesn't even kick anymore. Hell, after the TAC AR buff, I could swear all ARs got a range ninja buff. Firefights in top of C and D in Line Harvest are actually possible now. |

This actually seems true. Since inception the AR has been the most powerful weapon on the battlefield hands down. (Other than brief stints of niches such as swarms when they were able to hit people and RE's when they were instant).
I am skilled in SG's, have all my points in them. Have practiced with SG's far more than any other weapon, although I have used most of them. Yet I can still waste people with the starter assault fit using the militia AR faster than I can the SG, (while being skilled into SG), because of a constant stream of headshots. Seriously it's like a laser. It has 0 kick or bullet spread. If I fire 10 bullets without moving, all 10 hit exactly the same spot. This makes it incredibly easy for a headshot. With a TAR, recoil wouldn't make sense being single fire, but with a fully auto AR, why no recoil/spread? I have good aim which means I will always outperform myself using any weapon by using an AR simply because it's headshot city due to no recoil/spread.
What other FPS has no recoil/spread on automatic weapons? Not that I want to see Dust become like other FPS, but seriously if you don't put recoil/spread into an automatic weapon, then you will have to make it's dmg super small or do away with a headshot bonus; both which would seem unpopular to the majority.
Please CCP, do just one test with adding some recoil and/or bullet spread to auto AR's and see if it doesn't immediately seem more balanced and fun. Not to mention it would add a feeling of actually firing an automatic weapon. Anyone with half decent aim just fires a laser beam stream at head height and tango down.
Heavies - Too slow to move so headshots all day, drops heavy quick. Scout - Even though harder to hit, a high rate of fire and clip size just means aim head height and strafe, 3 shots and the quickest Scout is tango down. Assault/Logi - Pretty much the medium between heavy and scout, so is the most survivable against the AR. However you just adjust your approach based on if target is stationary or moving. May take a bit longer to down a moving assault fit with an AR, but if they are not using an AR you will win this battle.
Fact that assault and logis are the most commonly used fits and are the most survivable to the AR may explain the resistance to "nerfing" AR's, but it could also be the fact it's the most commonly used weapon. To be honest I think both of the fits need adjustments as well, but are still far more balanced than the AR is to other weapons.
*off topic but Assault fits probably need a slot or CPU/PG reduction, and Logi's need an armor reduction combined with a higher than normal stacking penalty on mods.
