What if they changed it so that Genolution Clone packs had to be deployed from a High sec systems using the same Survival Rates as if you were deploying from your own district? It would mean that some areas in Molden Heath would be accessible to attack by Clone pack and some areas would not. New Corps could still get into PC, but location would gain the tactical significance that it was meant to have.
Systems 1 jump from High Sec: Bosena Oddelulf Meildolf Osvetur Mimiror Kadlina
Systems 2 jumps from High Sec: Ennur Skarkon Klingt Aeditide
Systems 3 jumps from High Sec: Aedald Altbrard Egbinger Audesder (Arnola, Derelik Region)
Systems 4 jumps from High Sec: Hrober Muttokon Hedaleolfarber Sakulda |

It gets better if you have to deploy from a High Sec Temperate Planet:
Systems 1 jump from High Sec Temperate Planet: Oddelulf Meildolf Osvetur Mimiror
Systems 2 jumps from High Sec Temperate Planet: Bosena Ennur Skarkon
Systems 3 jumps from High Sec Temperate Planet: Altbrard Audesder (Arnola, Derelik Region) Klingt
Systems 4 jumps from High Sec Temperate Planet: Aedald Hedaleolfarber Sakulda
Systems 5 jumps from High Sec Temperate Planet: Aeditide Hrober Muttokon
Systems 6 jumps from High Sec Temperate Planet: Kadlina Egbinger |

When other planet types are introduced to PC, only Temperate planets should produce clones. All systems have planets, but not all systems have Temperate planets, so this would give systems with Temperate planets a strategic significance.
It also makes sense, as Temperate planets have all the raw materials for creating clones. Give the other planet types different types of resources. Maybe the raw materials needed to make DUST equipment, which could be sold to EVE players to make the gear that can then be sold back to DUST mercs. These raw materials can be sold to an NPC market until you get the EVE/DUST market sorted. |

Gregor stormwalker wrote:im not good with EVE lore, but could Genolution be banded from dust clone production outside of high sec also opening up eve dust connection. maybe by allowing corps to distribute clone from Genolution stations within low sec
clone production would only happen on districts(dust side item), if a corp "owned" maybe majority share in planet side district ownership in a system that has a eve side station they could transfer clones from a district to that station (at this point the clone are both in dust and EVE) from the station eve player could buy the clone (isk EVE to EVE, item now only in EVE ) or dust side can buy them like current packs(price set by corp and isk stays dust-dust )
eve player can then move them from system to system sell them to another station(isk EVE to EVE) at this point we are back to them being a shaired item
If im looking at this right it would not cause isk to flow into or out of ether game. but a corp with dust side support could make money EVE side but only as long as dust side demand is there.
I could be way off here so feel free to pock a massive hole in what I say I could see this being incorporated into the Player Owned Customs Office (POCO) interface. The DUST Corp with the clones would have to have good standing with the Corp that owns the POCO.
Another option is to tie it into the Space Elevators that CCP has been talking about adding.
I think Clone death during transport needs to remain even when EVE players are transporting the clones, otherwise location loses its meaning strategically again. However, with this system, clones could be purchased from DUST Corps near by, so that the clones would not have to be transported as far. Also, when new regions get opened up, you only need to have 1 clone to survive to take an uncopied district, so when opening up new areas, people can actually stretch quite far out.
I think the range restriction is important because it creates battlelines and a Risk like strategic setting. With the current situation of being able to activate a clone pack anywhere there are no battlelines and location has no strategic meaning. |

Ah, yes. So no clone loss when an EVE player transports clones around the galaxy, but a DUST Corp can only deploy clones from where they are available. So you buy clones from the station closest to the district you want to attack. Since Alliances that hold territory would only sell clones to Corporations that they have good standing with, the clone death distance restriction still applies for DUST deployment. You canGÇÖt buy clones deep in enemy territory, so you must either suffer large clone losses to jump deep into their territory, or take a multi staged approach, attacking a closer district and using it as a staging area.
Or I suppose you could have your EVE Allies take a station/POCO/Space Elevator close to your target and then drop of clones there for you. |
