I saw him today on my Team in a match. He went like 5/3 KDR I went 13/0 on my alt in militia gear and having spent only about 1 million SP on it. Of course maybe he was messing around....plus he was solo and i was in a squad.
Putting things into perspective with all of your "save the noobs because i r one" talk, that sets a low bar. Those Imperfect guys suck if he was able to kill 53 of them!
Everyone knows IMPSwarm are the puppet-masters of NF. |

Quote:save the noobs because i r one Actually it is save the noobs cuz without them Dust is dead as a doornail. Learn to read. I have no idea what you are talking about with "i was able to kill 53 of them" I said kain had a KDR of 5/3, that is 5 kills and 3 deaths, and he was on the same team as me so it was not me killing him. Also don't know anything about "puppet-masters".
No one knows of the "puppet-masters".... this is by design... until now... oh wait, I have slipped up.
Dust will be fine. Noobs will come noobs will go, dust will pick up a few people along the way with enough in their sack to handle starting out at the bottom to achieve something great in a universe of meaningful choices.

This says different: http://eve-offline.net/?server=dustScroll down when you get there. Look at all those noobs. Where the hell are they? Why are they not staying? The blue graphs does not seem to show anyone being picked up.
The peaks are at major events when you'd expect an uptick of popularity. This shows nothing of retention, the blue shows the amount of people online, new and old. You'd expect these to spike and start to level out. Look at the history of eve, it's similar.
The truth is, this game wont be for everyone, it's a niche, some people will stick with it, some wont. Some will play more often, some will play less. Most of the time there will be a strong pull to return when new content is released because of the passive sp.
Are you really that overzealous to think so black and white?
TL:DR - The game will be fine, it will grow, slowly at times and largely when more features are released that appeal to wider crowds... |

I see 100s, and on peak 1000, new characters being made per hour on the red graphs yet the blue graphs are declining. i see just fine....but you are blind if you do not see what those graphs are showing.
As I said, the game wont be for everyone, because you make a new account it means nothing of people that play, give the game a shot, and are retained for long periods.
What it shows is that at certain times, again, major events, a large amount of accounts are made..... Please tell me you don't make a living off of interpreting information?
I could see the headlines now, "Man jumps from building when stock takes a temporary dive, due to a overzealous analysts inaccurate assumptions on the release of google's quarterly results."

What this game should do and what it does are two very different things. Also it was the CEO of CCP who said dust will be a AAA shooter and an Esport. I think i will take his word over yours on what this game is supposed to be and who it is supposed to be for. You may want this game to be a niche game for a small group...but the budgets and profit projections and promises to investors say it is to be something else. You think those budgets and profit projections and investors give a **** about being a niche game? I am sure nascent fan-boys of World of Darkness thought the same way you do.
Please share with me these projections and budgets. |
