Also, what was that guy's fixation with shooting people in the butt? I'm guessing its somewhere between heavy and medium with a bit less tank and more movement speed. It gets 2 Light weapon slots so you can do funky stuff like scram rifle and mass driver to pwn all tanking types.
But it suck more than a assault or logi in every way, except the second light weapon slot.
Hell it's a PROTO suit with 2H, 1L slot layout. What do you do with that. You can't tank anything with that.
700eHP or so, when you run slower than a assault or logi which can have 1000eHP.
"But you can tank snipe with it"...not, even though that is the only thing you will do with it.
I would have prefered much more to get the other race for the heavy, instead of another suit in the Amarr branch not a damn heavy want to skill into.

Well at least the new stuff might make me forget that the new plates are somewhat useless. Take the current assault rifles. Split them into 4 skills. "New" weapons... The Scrambler Rifle is supposed to be the Amarrian variant of that weapon type, so while I think many current sub-variants of the AR are more or less temporary reprieves before the other variants are added the new variants will be doing things a bit differently than any current AR variants currently do. Also, it wouldn't split it into 4 skills. AR skill stays, and they'll add 2 new weapon skills. The Caldari one, and the Minmatar one. (and those will have all their respective subskills as well)
Yes from all the discussion I got the notion that the Assault AR will be Gallente, the Burst AR will be the Combat Rifle and the TAR the Caladari Rail Rifle. Not exactly but the mechanics of how they work and then they alter ranges for each.
Maybe this month or next......but wont get my hopes up. |

Yip - You would need either Light or Medium suit LV5 to start speccing into it.
You could choose between LW, SA, 2 EQ or 2 LW, 1 EQ
Also 1% Weapon Damage increase per level and 2% Damage Resistance per level
Max High slot / Low slot configuration is 6 (Scouts are 5, Assaults are 7) |

The Rail Rifle will most likely have the most range though it will probably fire slow like the breach maybe slower.
They may also throw in a variant that can fire faster but obviously not as powerful.
I think it will be Rail>ScR>ComRifle>Assault in terms of range with the existing TAR being lower than the scrambler but higher than Combat rifle.
We'll see. |

The only way it would be worth using is if it has two light weapon slots. That opens up a big enough world of possibilities that the gimpy slot count and slow speed might be necessaryGǪ

Scrambler Rifle + Mass Driver
All sound wicked fun to me.
If it's the bog standard one light weapon/one sidearm, I expect it to be laughed at heartily and never, ever used... |
