After going through YT to watch E3 clips. I have an understanding of where DUST will be when all these awesome games release... DUST will be in the trash and CCP will be forced to hang their heads and put their full effort towards EvE, where it should be because they fail at providing even a basic FPS. Not only is this game bad, but i pretty much have to re learn how to play every other good FPS because this game has me all jacked up.

Avallo Kantor wrote:I disagree strongly with your point OP. I am confident that DUST will not die out in the coming months, or years, and that it will continue to grow. Not perhaps at a pace that makes it the largest player count game, because it was never about that. Instead DUST will be aiming for the same thing EVE has been, a dedicated slowly growing base of players that are aiming for a unique experience, one DUST is still working to provide in meaningful ways that other shooters will not be. I'm fairly confident that DUST will still be around when these other games are gone, and their sequels are coming along. I may not have been a player last e3, but I did have the ability to browse the forums and I remember much the same thing as last year, doom and gloom threads that Dust wouldn't be around this time next year. And it's still here, and so are these same doom and gloom threads.
Go ahead and declare the demise of DUST all you Kitten well please, I am a patient sort, and can wait to see what comes of it. Just like every other time.
This game barely changed since Open Beta and what we have now. If this is all they can extract from the PS3, i doubt it will be any better on next gen.
Slow doesnt work on a console. You sell a $60 game and give instant gratification for the customer by offering a complete game that has the majority of the core mechanics nailed down, and when there are serious problem it is fixed within the month of it being found. You also have a running list of patch notes which have a due date that everyone can look forward too... even 1 week in advance is better than nothing. But regardless, you dont leave any changes out of the Patch script, because thats wrong.
Jut maybe if the Chinese didnt have so many random holidays, they might get something done.
Edit: You are Dust Uni anyways, nothing but scrubs. |
