The news tab on the patch screen isn't really news it's more of what Dust 514 is about the news tab should actually show news. Remember when the whole isk problem was happening well this would be a great place to put the information and tell members that if they spend the isk there will be consequences. There should also be a news tab over the notifications tab which I have seen suggested on the forums before this section could be used to tell players about events, developer mistakes and so on. I know a lot of players don't even go on the forums so keeping them up to date in game should be required from CCP. I know the EVE online launcher has all kinds of news and links to important information. I know this can not be done because Dust 514 is on the PS3 but posting news covering events and important information will still help.

Don't be ashamed you should see my remote explosives thread,  this is a great idea a regular news update be it once a day or once a week would be welcome perhaps the weekly bug/feedback reports can go here as well so it could be seen by those who do not regularly visit the forums. |

plus 1. maybe add clips from major PC battles as well, on that ever repeating massive tv screen we all have in our rooms. if the bounty system ever gets emplaced it would be a great place to put it... much like the one in eve |

Yep the t.v. could also serve as a news center if that is your idea. |

How about show it in one of the redundant screens in the captains quarters
Press 'X' and a info screen comes up with copy pasted text from what ever source a moderator see fit much like the patch notes before login

the current news tab is already set up to do this, but CCP has neglected to implement it. i think that it could work out for all news, including new implementations in the near patch, or even current issues like the server issues we have experienced |

Like has been suggested all though I don't see CCP posting anything news related only what Dust 514 is all about. |
