And this does not happen to you playing other online games? I'm not "piggybacking" internets, my connection is fine.
I run skype video the same time as I'm playing. My video call's never get interrupted. Nobody else has connection problems with what they're doing. DL speed is 50 mbps hard line, and well above 10 upload on wireless.
So post if you have these problems and none of the accusations people make about it being YOUR fault are true.

I get PSN disconnects when my internet is being horrible. Other then that no.
Also that's not exclusive to this game either. |

Thanks for you feedback.

I'll post here as this was happening to me. Once PSN disconnected, and my PS3 hard reset, it'd kick all our wireless devices off as well as my wired computer. I had to reset my modem and router everytime to resolve the issue.
Since I did that DNS swap that was on the boards earlier, I haven't had a problem since.
Edit: All this was happening despite me being wired or wireless with the PS3. Had the issue both ways. Now, both ways work fine, but I'm keeping my PS3 wired for the moment. |

Do the disconnects happen when you aren't running skype... maybe it's automatic Windows updates in the background? Just throwing things around to see if it helps other people generate ideas. |

But We're still connected to dust servers fine when this happens. The only problem is this pop up message that disables your controls and Forced you to quit out of the game / disconnect from Dust.

Also that's not exclusive to this game either. That's odd because it only happens to me in Dust. And frequently. I can play all day on other games and nothing happens. But Dust its going on sometimes a few times every hour. I had to quit last night and might have to again today. |

To the OP:
I suggest changing your DNS settings on your ps3 to: Primary: 8.8.8.8 Secondary: 8.8.4.4
That is Googles public DNS.
How to set DNS:
1. Go to network settings
2. Go to internet connection settings
3. Go to Custom
4. Wireless or wired which ever one your using
5. IP Address settings: Automatic
6. DHCP host name: Do not set
7. DNS Settings: Go to manual
8. Enter the above DNS addresses
9. MTU: Automatic
10. Proxy Server: No
11. UPnP: Enable
12. Test your connection if you want then your done
This information was taken from my thread which has a bit of info on how to take care of your Ps3 and how to make it run smoother.
This is the thread https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=927717#post927717 |

My brother will be in the other room on PSN, he does not get disconnected. I do. However if I don't press X and quit the game from the PS button I can see I am still on the PSNetwork. This has never happened to me before this recent update and is not happening in any other game. I have a 50mb fiber connection, and have my PS3 hooked directly to my router. It is happening to many of my corpmates as I can see them log off of the PSN ( I have them added as friends). This is happening. No it is not the playstation network. No it is not my amazing connection ( the lowest I have ever watched it dip is 32mb). No it is not my 1 year old PS3 I bought just for this game. |

Oh yeah, lol. At the brilliant people accusing me of leaching neighbors internet... Coincidence that half my squad also disconnects from the same error at the same time from all over the world, right?

I paid for 20 dropships (x1.5 million) = 30 million ISK.
I got them crashed into mountains while my hands were tied by some silly popup window. |

Some people, I know for a fact, are personally spending hundreds. They disconnect with the rest of em. So what's the price for a released game to be at all stable? |

Just happened in a PC match "you have been logged out of PSN", I was recording if that helps at all. It sound like this was a mass disconnect. I am still log into PSN but nothing on The dust end. Please CCP if you could update us it may relieve some of the stress. |

Oh? That pass the buck don't even look into it point the finger at PSN post?
Yea.. that was pretty lame and is obviously something he lazily said off the cuff. Some techies have issues with that approach.
The correct approach is to say yea. That is a PSN error, but I will look into it to make sure it has nothing to do with our side. After I confirm it does or does not I will ensure PSN resolves their issue that is disconnecting my customers from my product.
You see the difference?
Do they not have their tranquility server interacting with PSN? I would look for points of failure in the least.

I have received the "You have been disconnected" error continuously since being kicked from a match about 20 minutes ago. I also experience severe delay when logging into the forums and browsing between topics.
Pinging yahoo and google indicates no network issue from my ISP and other sites are responsive. It may not be CCP's fault, but it sounds like their playerbase is experiencing significant connectivity problems right now. I agree that "plug into ethernet" is kind of a useless low-level tech support way of blowing you off. |

Started several hours ago for me the lag at least. Was teleporting around the maps(on my PS3) so I checked my internet and reset my ps3 and it didn't work. Tried again after work(I play during lunch breaks) and it still didn't work and the disconnects from the server started. Now I cannot even connect.
I'm also having lag when going through the forums and replying to posts. Network issues? Another DDoS attack? |
