And create newbie alts to do it, so they get that dewey-eyed innocence that chides your cynical bashing of something that is just. plain. fun.

You know, you don't have to be a fanboy or a brand new alt to enjoy the game. I still enjoy the game... regardless of all the faults that get kvetched about endlessly.

I wasn't making excuses, I was making observations... My observations weren't even really about the game so much as it was the forum warriors.... Only thing I really said about the game was that I enjoy it.

There are better ways of going about it, ccp is going to grow tired of these forum warriors and are going to stop taking the feedback given and write it off as trolling and QQ'ing, there's no reason the same feedback can't be given tactfully and patiently instead of kicking and screaming like a bunch of 5 year olds, it's embarrassing to me as a gamer that I'm associated with these guys.

It will be the players fault.

CCP is handling it fine though and making improvements so that's not an issue.

Those guys having tantrums in general aren't really saying anything useful. They're so focused on their agenda they're unable to make any sort of reasonable analysis. They're so dependent on hyperbole instead of reason to get attention, they can't let themselves be publicly seen making a intelligent suggestion.

Dust 514 has a lot of problems that need to be fixed, and the sooner the ranting babies get tired and cry themselves to sleep, the sooner we can have useful discussions. If Dust 514 really was as terrible as they say they were, they wouldn't be spending their time here making demands. They'd be playing something else.

What haven't they handled? HMG's were broke, CCP gave them a buff.... Tar was "OP", CCP gave it a dispersion nerf.

I fail to see where CCP is raking us over the coals with there FTP game.

I imagine all the complaints that were voiced in a semi-reasonable way made this point very clear. There is an issue with this and we don't like it.

What I don't get is why you think people making up all kinds of ridiculous hyperbole is going to do a better job of getting this point across?

And the 2-3 "proof of how dust failed" threads a day? Is that necessary?

Seriously though, the "point" is often lacking in the hater threads. Complaining that everything sucks is not going to give anybody any insight into what needs fixing. I'm not suggesting that everyone has to be happy that these issues are happening but I would like to see threads at least contain details -- and it would be a bonus if they didn't include conspiracy theories at the same time.

Posting something without the hater rhetoric will let a lot of folks who aren't 13 years old participate in a discussion of the issues... perhaps offer something approaching a bit of insight. Now, I know there are strong feelings about who should or should not be listened to but I think that is a bit of a waste of everyone's energy.

Most people are going to find that what happens is not exactly what they wanted. It doesn't mean people who don't feel exactly as I do are the reason for all that ails the world. CCP has their own view of the direction this game will take... and we're in their playground.

My own problem with all the abrasive posts is that they turn the forums into nothing but a ****posting fest. It does nothing other than stir up anger, conspiracy theories and other wastes of time and space.

Now, suggesting I'm saying anything about CCP seems like either trolling or your own negative view leaking out. If I was in their shoes I'd prefer not dealing with demoralizing crap all day long -- which has absolutely nothing to do with questioning their competence.

Nobody likes to be kicked all day long. If it has any effect on what we want it's as likely to be a negative effect as a positive effect. How do you react when attacked?

When you have to tell people about being mature the odds are you aren't. I'm fine with the fact *you* don't care about the delivery of the message.

However, your view is not necessarily the only view that matters. And, I'm certainly not talking about my view being the one that matters.
