I am sick and tired of all of your complaints.

P.S.
CCP is new to this world of gaming. They have spent a decade building a great game in EVE and no other company has been able to compete with them on that level. There are new games in development for the new consoles but I doubt they will be able to be on the level Eve is. Give CCP some time to find their niche and find their level of greatness with Dust 514. A lot of the current game developers that keep putting out games like COD and BF2 and now PS2 have had decades of experience in first person shooters or the like of them. They are listening to us and if you would take the time to go sit in the IRC chat you will see them interacting with the users and asking for feedback on new posts. They don't always have the time to constantly be interacting because they are there working and improving on the game. If you do not support this game and support the developers and each other, this game will not rise to the top. Get on the band wagon and stay on, in fact dont get on the band wagon get on the game and play and continue to provide constructive feedback and stop complaining about how the game is not going anywhere.
If you can not handle the game and the direction its going and the time it is taking. Go make your own game or go play another sell out game like bf2 or cod. |

NOC, your game would consist of just you and a bunch of AI 4 year olds with sticks and you beating them down.
lol
all jokes aside. You do get a lot of flack for what you say in the IRC but it is well put to where it does not sound like you are a 10 year old kid throwing a fit. I will give that to you. |

This game is in way too bad a shape to be playin' that lame ass card - it was over used in Beta and it's not effective now. CCP is bad and should feel bad.
This includes the people who have been around. The game has made huge changes since the very beginning. I have only been around since February and I have seen big changes. The big changes may be small to some people because they expect changes made in a whole different category or different spectrum. Just think of it this way, you leave now, next update, what you are looking for is there. You cut ties to the game and by the time you catch win its to late.. Just stay supportive and be vocal, just dont be negative and don't be putting down other people and the developers.
I am not goin around askin your mom when you are gonna make that big change into adult hood and be a man and be humble about life and all that jazz. Either be you and whine about it or take a back seat and ride it out. |

Also, you have to remember. A lot of new potential players do come across these forums and they see all the negativity being thrown across the tables is a huge turn off. You do not want to scare of potential long term players because there is a large group of people hating on the game. In fact even these players may even have great answers to make the game better. You just have to get with the program, give your constructive feed-back and get involved with the involvement of the developers. I can not press any harder on the issue of potential players read on these forums. I wish there was a better place to put those comments and threads. Perhaps the trash bin maybe.. but in reality. If you are gonna say something bad, reinforce it with some positive notes and comments like how it can be improved, getting this game improved does not work by knocking the game play, developers and players that are not very skilled. |

And definetly it's not like they're not working on it. Software development takes time, more than what you think. And in a game as technically challenging as DUST is, i would assume it takes a while longer. We all want to have a better game. Even devs do.
If I were a developer I wouldn't handcuff myself giving deadlines either. Who knows when will Murphy strike, and when he does, flames of uproar will engulf the forums because CCP will have failed its customers.
A list of things being worked on, that would be great to have. And an idea of when to expect the next major patch. But to have half the forum crying and angering because there are no news on *whatever*... oh well. You get the idea. And btw, it sure makes a bad impression to newbies in the forums
Patience, Anakin. Patience.
There are a lot of people out there who know it all.. sadly.
There are a lot of people out there who knows what it takes, are not standing up, sadly.
There are a lot of people out there who love the game and are scared to stand up for it, sadly.
And there are the people who do not know how to constructively put together a good point when needed.
That goes for the people who dislike/hate the game, sadly.
We will be around when the game starts to see its full potential while the other people who gave up will be playing the same battlefield games as before dust.

Don't tell me you're implying that the people who don't like Dust aren't justified. There are plenty of reasons not to like this game right now, and there were plenty of suggestions on the forums to make some of those reasons decrease that were ignored.
they are justified, they have gotten their answers, which is no answer to their problems they see. They are giving up on CCP based on their actions on the boards. They come here and whine and more than likely go on an alt to play. Just a hunch. But you can see it the way you want. They could be justified or they may not be justified. They just need to pull it together and complain in a more acceptable manner.. "hey I believe this is how it should be fixed" etc instead of "blah blah eff this that him her and this game". Also there are so many people playing this game and giving their feedback, either be forums, opening a ticket or via IRC. They are looking at these issues and there is A LOT going on in the game development world right now. |

Chinduko wrote:The Beta started a year ago and the game remains broken today. CCP has had plenty of time to do whatever it was they needed to do before release. The BF and COD developers may develop game after game and may feel the same to some but they balance their games well. If CCP has such trouble with balance and other issues, they should have used the experience of BF and COD mechanics then create their connection with EVE and other innovative aspects from there. CCP made the mistake. CCP is lucky that some players are hopeful in fixes and don't mind playing a broken game for a little longer.
When FFXIV created a broken online game, they brought in all new help. Maybe CCP should do the same.
I am pretty sure that they are looking into every possibility they can. It has also been brought to me that CCP did hire some folks from DICE. But as far as I know, they are not the experts on a FPS. They may have just dealt with code and some developing. They use a completely different engine, their own. But Unreal is a widely used game engine and I am sure there are a lot of things they can implement easily in a sense if it has been done on other games that use the same engine. I am not expert on game development so please bare with my general comments on that. |

It's cool though - keep your faith. It's done us all real well so far. Uprising was such a HUGE success and PC is such GREAT fun. Not a single corp is dropping out of PC because it's lame and no one is quitting dust. Large alliances aren't getting steam rolled by a few elites and everyone gets to enjoy this game fully!
Don't you love CCP? Launched a game where heavies only have 1 variant. LAV's run amok killing all - tanks and DS are worthless unless they luck out with no AV on the other side *Pets his Proto forge* TAR used to be OP and now it's trash. Most guns bullets can preform magic and disappear. Installations have better accuracy then you do. Terrain likes to pretend it's quicksand and going up hills that should be cake turn into nightmare fighting your way out of it. Logi's are the 'do all class' instead of support. Getting SP per week is a slow long grind with no word of the roll-over system we voted for back in january. All of this - is intended by CCP.
Yay CCP! You can do no wrong! Faith for all!
Because deflecting with ad-hominems and sarcasm is the way to go. I can see it appeals to the lowest common denominator though. Again, just put up or shut up. Care to buy me a ticket to that dream land you and every CCP fanboy resides in? I've tried to help for over a year - I used to be all over the heavy subject. All of it - from me to everyone I know - got ignored by CCP. Heavies are now nearly trash and if we don't get place-holder racial next update there's going to be hell to pay.
That I can agree with. They had seriously neglected the heavy and made it worse. But I still run my heavy because its a status I like to hold. I am a true heavy fit player. But They do need to make some changes and bring back some of the old fits like the armor fit and the shield fit. I liked running with both depending on what I was doing. Now I just have to deal with it being balanced evenly.
